Has anybody drawn a map of the Maaken mines? Is the map in section 93 of The Chasm of Doom close to the reality?

Great question! Never even thought of it! (and if things get quiet in work this afternoon I may just explore that!)

I checked it out while playing the LW female series. I would say it is roughly accurate in that you can find the place you are currently at on the map. Beyond that, it's pretty useless.

(I hope no one minds this thread necromancy!)
I just mapped out all of the Maaken mines in book 4, and the map bears no resemblance at all to the actual mines. I can't even figure out which room I'm supposed to be in, since the text says the room on the map is clearly circled with ink and has a door to a passage that leads to an outside balcony that is NOT the same as the main exit.

So, I just finalized my map of the Maaken mines; I put page numbers for entrances and some of the major rooms, and I took some artistic liberty in shortening the length of all the long featureless tunnels to keep the map from looking like simple dots connected by squiggly lines.

Nice work! I tried something similar years ago but I thought the same rooms popped up in different places on the map!

Thanks! Mapping out stuff, I noticed Joe Dever does like to resuse the same page sections for possibly different rooms if he can get away with it. The room with the burrow worm is used for two different rooms in the mines, but I believe all the others are unique.

One cannot see your map. Could you edit your message? I'd like to have a look at your map. Thank you.
