www.kickstarter.comNot sure if this is a good idea or not, but has anyone looked into starting a kickstarter project perhaps to help in the Lone Wolf Saga Android app? There will have to be some investment in the creation of the kickstarter site to pitch the app to a bigger audience, but revenue or volunteer help will surely come in at the very least. Just a thought.

It's a lovely thought but I suspect there are licensing issues to be considered. Still, it's always good to pursue alternatives and new avenues of getting things done!

KS for the app isnt a terrible idea, but as suggested, licensing, dividing up the loot, making sure it gets completed on time are all important things to consider.
As for Ks for book 29, that isnt a bad idea BUT given the recent turn of events, I'm sure a lot of people would want to make sure the series was completed than get 1 more book and be stuck waiting.

Hi beto, As a matter of fact I thought about Kickstarter before starting to work on Lone Wolf Saga for Android, but the main reasons for which I decided not to go on and create a campaign where: - As Lone Wolf Saga is created in my spare time, I can not guarantee that it will ever be finished, and I didn't want people to spend money on my project and never being able to get the final complete result; - a successfull kickstarter campaign, in my opinion, should be a campaign with the largets target possible, and with a good amount of gadgets for the contributors.... I do not think Lone Wolf Saga would have gained a very big target (we are talking, at the moment of about 2200 active installations, of which some 5 to 10% already contributed in some manner through the built-in interface), and I also didn't have the time and ideas regarding the creations of gadgets - I really do not know how much a feasible goal would have been for such a campaign... If I just keep track of my hours and try to set a goal from them, well I think it could range in the thousands of Euros.... Also, I think there are always the licensing issues kicking in, and it could easily become a jungle trying to understand how to divide the income from the campaign... But I think the main reason for not starting a campaign was that all the time I would have put in creating and mantaining the campaign and the gadgets would have been time taken away from programming Lone Wolf Saga, and since I always run on limited hours.... I do NOT, however, consider this matter closed, as the Magnakai and GrandMaster series are still to be developed.... Also, the New Order and Grey Star Saga could later be converted to an Android app

Above posters are correct - we are not licensed to produce commercial software. ALL software sponsored by AON is volunteer-led.
There are commercial Lone Wolf adventures under contract, so we must take care not to clash with those contracts.
Any individual is more than welcome to approch Joe directly with any such ideas though. They would need to take a solid proposal I suspect.
