That sounds like the voice of someone who's learnt from bitter experience Runeheart! You may well be onto something there though; I think if I turned the football off for a discussion about dinner or something with my girlfriend she'd be absolutely staggered. Certainly put me in the good books for at least half an hour. I find that Wisdom is often simply learning from experience (mistakes more often) and trying to set in place a system that prevents the same problem from happening again. @ Hunting Wolf, my wife also suggested that you might want to turn of the computer and get out more.(she also said something about nerds and a life, but I would never mention that in polite company... ;D)

What? Get out? Why should nerds get out? We know how to have a good time.
"Moz--your Amazon thingy."
"Wicked! I know what this is: it's the new Harry Potter. I got the child edition and the adult edition, just to check that there are no differences in the text."
See? See??

"Moz--your Amazon thingy. See? See?? Two things, (See? See??) your logic is flawless, I have no counter arguement to this (Moz--your Amazon thingy.) I will admit it, I don't get this, assuming this is implied humor. Mozilla Firefox, or Amazon publishing or have I spoiled the joke ('I can do that, I can do that really good' )

Nah, it's not implied humour or anything smart like that, it's from a TV comedy about a pair of nerds who work in IT. Moz is the more outwardly nerdish of the two. Other quotes might be:
"Would I blow everyone's mind if I ate dessert first?"
or
"Chairman Wow!"
or
"What are you laughing at, Moz?"
"This flipping circuit board, Jen. Some chump has run the data lines right through the power supply. Amateur hour!"
My point is that from the foregoing remarks, it's quite clear to see that nerds have a subtle and meaningful sense of humour and obviously know how to have a good time.
;D

I'm a square and bookworm from junior high school (read The Magician within three days in the middle of a school week), not to justify or include myself, in my first year of high school I was nicknamed spaceman cause I used big words, (girl logic was involved so I didn't understand the connection) anyway, I'm a total bookworm, but I'm trying to not make it too obvious, so my children aren't branded or embarrassed... and my wife is most definately not a nerd (or even academic at all), so hopefully my kids will grow up more balanced (but I doubt it ;D what with a dad like me).

I like to travel. I'm headed up to the US soon in fact, visiting New York for the first time. When I'm not traveling, and not working, and not going to college, and not surfing the intarweb, I'm running, rock climbing, watching movies, drinking coffee, loitering around the harbour with friends, eating, getting far drunker than I should be able to while still surviving... I think I know what the ceiling looks like in every bar in Australia.

"BTW, I wonder how (or if) Hunting Wolf would change his tune if he was dragged out 'girly-shopping' after a long enough time to be comfortable in this relationship"
Ever been lingerie shopping with your women, fellas? Eh? Eh?! LoL I'm such a perverted wolf....

>>Heck, I'll even go girly-shopping with 'em<< You're better than me HuntingWolf, I only go very begrudgingly, then sigh and look at my watch after a couple of hours so I can get home to see the football scores. << Yeah, about that, ya may wanna just go happily, who knows maybe you'll get a lil sumpthin' later. If ya gets my drift. HA.
