One thing programmers are often looking for is new ideas to work on. If you have an idea for an Aon-based program, and do not know where to start, post your ideas here!
Here's my starter for ten:
An online, automated player for the LW Aon books. This would be a highly advanced version of Statskeeper which would control the paper side of reading the books - only allowing access to sections the reader is allowed to enter, etc. This could be started in a number of ways: * From scratch - for those adventurous programmers * Using one of the offline readers as a starting point (details to be published soon!) * Using the navigation files from one of the offline readers, but writing the code from scratch
An example of the benefit of this would be to automatically track healing one point per page.
The aim would be to host this on Aon, allowing the reader to interact with the books without needing to install local software (much like Statskeeper)

I was thinking of doing something like this, but I've started too many other projects to work on it, at least for a while.

Hi, I have worked for some time now on something like this, first on an offline, downloadable version, then on a flash version (created a separate post on this). As it turn out, flash is not that good for this kind of software.
I would like to undertake this kind of project, especially the programming part of it, but any help would be appreciated, especially for hosting/testing and everything related to the visual aspect of the software.
Hosting this on Aon would be the ultimate goal, so I'd like to know if a development in asp.net or silverlight with a sql-type database would be acceptable.
Kee me posted!
