Woo, I've been gone for a long time. Work will do that. :3
Congrats on the new version, Dave! I'll have to download it when I'm not at work on my own computer. *halo*
Glad to see the site design is working for you. If you ever need upgrades or more functionality, you can always drop me a PM. I may not get it right away, but I DO keep coming back!

Genius work compounded by more genius work. Well done yet again, I hope Dever checks this out, it would be cool to see his feedback on the evolution and virtual reinvention of his seminal works.

Dave
Again good job - just completed all 4 books on hardcore and loving it!
One thing - is there anyway in which to speed up the random number thingy and table lookup like last time?
Also one other thing (shoot me down here) how about hyperlinking the locations to the relevant map? Just an idea.
Thanks - James

Dave,
Huge bug found! For some reason I can't get past book 4 even though the forces of darkness continue with their nefarious plotting. This can't be intentional...unless you're secretly an agent for the other side.
You wouldn't want people to think you were an agent for the other side now would you?
Book 5! Book 5! Book 5!

Thanks - James I'm glad you're enjoying it, James. irakaz pointed you to where you can choose to speed up the animations, or skip them altogether. As to the map idea, would you expound on that for me? I'm not sure what your idea is, but it sounds interesting. Give me a scenario or something.

Dave Also one other thing (shoot me down here) how about hyperlinking the locations to the relevant map? Just an idea. Thanks - James I think he means if the text says anything about checking your map, linking the word "map" to the map graphic. Or else haveing a perminant shortcut icon displaying rather than navigating to your backpack. How about a keyboard shortcut, press M?

Doh thanks for the speed pointer guys (irakaz ta!)- was like a kid with a new toy should have not just dived in!!
Regarding hyperlinking - I mean where it says Ruanon for instance in the text - this could be clickable (blue)and would immediatly bring up the map?? I know in book 2 & 4 especially I like the way the journey is mapped out and adds to the experience. The maps really lift the page.
There seem to be about 20-30 key names on the maps in the books. I imagine these are just keyword linked?
Either that or hot key M like mckinstry says.

I think he means one of the two halves of book 5. It's split into sections 1~200 and sections 201~400. Not the Mongoose mini-adventures.

Taryn's right on there, huanchoo... Sorry to mislead you like that. Book 5 is 2 mini-adventures put together (200 sections each). The first 200 sections are done.
Regarding Map linking - It'd be a whole lot easier to hot key "M" than to try and find all of the places in the text where a map link would be helpful. I'll give it a shot. Basically, Press "M", it'll look and see if you're holding the map for the current book (because it's possible that you aren't!) and then, if so, it'll pop it up. Sound simple enough...
