Just did a 10/20 "by the book" run with intelligent damage on (hoping it doesn't disqualify me since it does make it harder to heal some damage). Drank all my potions I'd been hording right after killing the crypt spawn, so Haakon's death was much appreciated. I'm still shocked I kept my fight counts that low
Still considering doing a HC run, but I haven't made up my mind with how much of a nail-biting experience this run was.

Intelligent damage is an option that doesn't count toward By-the-book or Hardcore... You can change it whenever you want. (That and a couple others appear with asterisks indicating such when you first start a campaign).
Congrats on your entry into the Harcore Hall of Fame, kamikaze! (Yes, he did decide to do one, and he also did it as 10/20 with no restarts!)

Thanks for the info and the sentiment :rocking:
I'm still amazed at how many combats can be avoided with that combo. Of course I never considered the Sommerswerd a possible hindrance before this either.

Just submitted my 10/20 HC run.
Books 1-3 were pretty easy, book 4 was ok once I got the Holy Water. Book 5 took freaking forever between insta-deaths, rolls not leading me to the section I needed, and just some really crappy combat rolls (lost the last fight by 1 EP at one point.)

I figure out were the files were. Im using vista so I don't know if it that but I followed the guide up to the last folder. Then I viewed the compatibilty files for the folder and it showed me the other files (campaign, resume, etc) Could you post how you got it to work? I found how to VIEW the resume1.dat file by viewing the compatibility files, but it still doesn't appear when I try to attach it to an e-mail. I'm very proud of my accomplishment, and I want to be in the hall of fame! Thanks!

She must have got it figured out, since I got the attachment, and she's on the Hall of Fame!

I completed all the kai series, pressed play next book, closed the program, went into 7th sense, data, profiles - and nothing was there except a folder called 'avatars'.

It could be in the appdata folder. Check there. Good ol' vista.

I am on Vista. What appdata folder would this be? There isn't one in my 7th sense folder.

I can honestly say - I have no idea where vista might have put it. However, I am releasing a new version of the software shortly which changes where the user data is kept, so it will be consistent from platform to platform. You could wait until then.
Or you could just search for the exact filename you need : resume1.dat (assuming you are using the first profile slot).

I searched it in computer and was told 'no items match your search'. Stupid Vista.
EDIT Found it! In 7th sense, data, profiles I clicked compatability files, and found it. I've emailed it to you.
