Psst... It's book 21. Book 20 has been published a few weeks ago already. Which bring this question: how come you guys are now able to release the books at such a fast pace? I remember it took nearly a year and a half for book 16 or 17 to come out, and now you give us 3 books in 3 months. Not that I'm complaining, but I find it odd that all of sudden, you guys are on fire! ;D

Hmmm...maybe they spent years getting like 99% of each book done and not releasing them, then put the finishing touches on each almost-done book this year?

There is something in what Taryn says, though, it's nowhere near 99%! Primarily, Jon the Coordinator has more time this year than the previous one. I don't know how; maybe he's built a TARDIS or something. But I, for one, am not complaining! Secondly, the push we had last year to get Books 21-28 scanned, proofread, and xml-ised has really, really helped. Since we started working on Book 19 it has been possible to check ALL the books for spelling consistency; thus, some things that we might have changed we decided not to because of the consistent use in later books. Also, we have spellchecked all the books which brought a number of issues to light, and because we had the books in xml format we could go in and fix the problems straight away rather than recording them for later. So each new book we work on has already had at least 50% of the required work done to it. The Errata Pages have also been an immense boon to the project, since they show at a glance what has been done and what is still outstanding. And because we have xml for ALL books, a fix in Book 21 can be propagated to the rest of the NO series straight away. It makes things a little more fiddly, but the end result is much greater efficiency. Also, since the Errata Pages are wiki-based, something Rejected in one book can quite simply be marked Rejected in other books as well, also increasing the efficiency of the work being done. (As an aside, randomly pick one of the NO books and take a quick look at its Errata Page. You'll see that the vast majority of reported issues for the book have been resolved already. Of course, we find a lot more when playtesting before release, so the lists are not indicative of how close the book is to actual release, but it's definitely interesting!) Oh yeah, and a very dedicated team of active volunteers. That is also kind of important.

At this rate, Project Aon is starting to look like it might actually be COMPLETED one day! THEN what are you guys gonna do? Start tracking down Fighting Fantasy authors whose works aren't being republished by Wizard? Take a long and thoroughly-deserved holiday? Ride off into the sunset?

Get married and live happily ever after? Thanks outspaced for explaining this to us who are merely watching the end result of all this work.

You folks have been doing a bang up, solid job, for which I am very thankful. I'd never actually seen any books from 13 onwards, and had long considered the saga of Lone Wolf had ended at Book 12, until I found PA. My entire interest in LW has been renewed, solely through the diligent work of the folks at PA. Without this site, I'd never have known about the further books, or even about the new re-issues that Mongoose are doing.
Serious kudos to you folks for all you've done, and I just wish I'd discovered you sooner so I could have helped out myself.

Thank you very much for your great job guys in getting these awesome books published online for free, and of course to Mr Dever (plus Mr Chalk, Mr Williams and Mr Jones of course) too!

Once again, good job on getting the book up so quickly after the previous one.
It was really strange not being Lone Wolf this time around. I guess after being him for the last 20+ years it should feel a little odd to change identities.

The title page says:
His wife has very kindly allowed us permission to use his work for Voyage of the Moonstone for Project Aon
Does this mean there are or will be illustrations?
