So it is. It does seem rather silly, though, doesn't it?

I don't think it's particularly funny as such. It's just an "in-theme" reference to being polite and respectful.

I meant it seems silly that his name is censored unless you take the time to get a u with a circumflex and insert it in the word. "Silly" as in "nonsensical" rather than "amusing." I'm not laughing, I'm frustrated.

Would you prefer the alternative? Ask a fogey what that created!

I would have preferred an exception to editing the word out on this forum, honestly.

I voted for Gnaag. I like the insectoid ones!

Once again, it's probably worth pointing out that we don't set the default set of blacklisted words, and since words with the letters S L U and T in that order appear hardly ever in the English language, and this is neither an Adult Fiction forum nor a mudslinging forum, and those letters generally form an insult deemed unnecessary on these boards and because the circumflex-U combination can be produced by holding ALT and typing 150 on the numeric keypad ( û ) . . . we've left it blanked.

Honestly though, it's not like we use his name every day. He WAS one of the lesser Darklords. This topic has seen more use of his name than anywhere else in the forums.
Plus he'd probably be honored to know that his name was so unspeakably crass that it was censored by proboards.

Yes, but these facts do not make my life any easier, and since I started this thread, I say it's all about making my life easier.
You know... in addition to finding out who everyone's favorite Darklord is.

I chose xog because the dude can shape-shift. It's too bad you never get to fight him. Gnaag is a close second because he got to the top spot by trickery, rather than killing everybody.

I think Xog is cool. I mean, the dude can shapeshift in battle. Can you imagine trying killing something that can shape-shift into different forms?
