Seems the map of The Dragons of Lencia isn't to trust so much. True, Jbryntze. This map is graphically nice, but full of inconsitancies. Joe kept very few informations from this map on his global map. the city Bavari, looks by image to a be a Vassagonian city but if you look the country lines it is within Dessi's country border. According to LW21 text, Bavari is with no doubt a Vassagonian city, but I know you still didn't read it, then you couldn't know. Gadorvo is a city within the country border of Caron (not Palmyrion). Just take a look at (the excellent) LW18 and you'll see Honza was right. How can Dausar be an Anari City??? doesn't fit in the country border....already Resa is on the border. Dausar is not an Anari city, I already explained there why this hypothesis based only on city colours on LW9 and 18 maps was wrong. Dausar is slovian in MS5000, you'll discover why and some details about this city and its history in the 2nd volume of the Stornlands LWMPG sourcebook. That was even one of the main slovian locations I worked on for this book with Lokhuzor, hope you'll like. Wonder if we'll ever see a complete map then I'd like too, but I think you've already seen on Francesco's preview that there's nothing new on the Magnamund map to be published about the Kayuni, these many islands existing in Northern Void (and probably Southern Void too), from where came Ulnarians, Sommlendings, and maybe many Magnamund races. That would be great if Joe and Francesco could publish a "2nd volume" of the map, less detailed but at planet-scale! Well, the fact that all of the north of Northern Magnamund has ice terrain - from Ixia in the west to Kalte in the east - suggests that Northern Magnamund is in fact very close to the North Pole/ North Pole circle. I agree. On the opposite, the Azanam peninsula in Southern Magnamund has jungles. Then we can suppose the southern pole, if it exists, is far to the South, and then maybe another little continent could exist, as Antartica on our world? Oh, I just discovered that Joe is also working on a big giant map of Magnamund with an Italian fan. He should come here and check Honza's work. Joe I don't know but I can say Francesco knows Honza's huge work and, as a great map fan like me, I think he appreciates his work. There's something sad that Honza couldn't publish its own map, but I really think the 2 maps (Joe+Francesco's one and Honza's) have their own special interest: the 1st is more "graphical" and, of course, the only complete one, but the 2nd includes some little details that the 1st doesn't include as little place names (villages, hamlets, tombs...). Such details could not be included on the official map because too many places would have been to be created to balance the few ones known from the gamebooks. Then Honza's map will still be precious even when the official one will be published. Each map has exclusive contents!

Very legible map Honza, nice details such as the white border behind place names. Changed a good bit since I last looked at it. Now consider adding some subtle paper / grainy texture If you consider scaling down the map with larger text (so that place names become more crowded) have a look at herkulano.posterous.com/41latitude-google-maps-label-readabilityInteresting read on why Google Maps are just so much more readable than others.

Just got mine today, signed by Joe Dever himself ^_^ It's a really nice, detailed map. It's nice seeing how the parts of Magnamund fit together. I know we had a tiny map in Book 11, but that was only like a vague overview. This one has the nations and their boundaries, cities, major highways, and important terrain features.
I might buy some poster mounts to hang it on my wall, but I don't want to damage it.

For those (fools!) who wouldn't have still bought this fantastic map, I remind Francesco's posts on the thread about his map: Hi, I'm Francesco Mattioli, illustrator of the map (sorry, my english is not very good, I hope to be clear enough). I'm very glad you like it, I worked on the map for the last 4-5 years along with Joe, Vincent and Florent and I hope every fan will be satisfied. and (Joe's website!)

Admin message: I've just checked and the links are still currently working, but I am in the process of changing domain names for my website where I host the maps, so if the links do temporarily stop working, don't worry. It's being worked on!

***************UPDATE*************** I've just made great update, according to the whole and complete Francesco Mattioli's map. In this way I wish to thank him for his kindness and support for my work. This map is now made according to his work and is accessible here with his permission. And I feel that it would be fair from me to mention Francesco's work. I'm sure my map could be useful, but it is only fan made map. If you wish to have it on your wall, better go to Francesco's and Joe's official site www.mapmagnamund.com***************UPDATE***************
