I've just now noticed that the Vordak combat on 342 in FFtD specifically mentions that the Vordak is immune to Mindblast, where the one on 283 does not. Is this an error, or should I assume the Vordak's surprise keeps it from shielding itself?
edit: the Vordaks you fight at 29 and 34 also do not mention Mindblast immunity, and they're definitely not suprised. hmm.

I don't recall Vordak having mindblast immunity as standard, I assume either an error or more likely that different Vordak have different levesl. I could be wrong, it could be an omission though.
After all, there's a difference between the lowly one that would lead a giak troop and the ones that would be riding kraan leader a major warband of drakkarim

Not all Giak are created equal in Fftd, and I presume neither are Vordaks. It's fairly logical that some might have the ability of Mindshield and others would not.

maybe, but 342 and 283 are supposed to be the same Vordak.

i've got a theory about this. could it just be that good old ell-dubbelyer happened to stumble across that one vordak who just so happened to be.......you know.......not like the others? in a glee box-set owning kinda way? he took one look at ell-dub and was distracted by his washboard abs? ?
