At the start of Castle Death, when you get the Power-Key, I don't see a button to click to add it to my Special Items, and I can still progress to the next section, so there's no way to have it in my special items. Good work though, I can't wait for (in a few years) the ability to play through all 20 this way. So convenient, and the awards are great, especially the tempt fate ones I can't do Really makes you think how best to screw yourself over: a very unique use of one's Seventh Sense

Fixed! I didn't notice this before, because there is no section of text which actually requires you to have it... Still, it's like the Badge of Rank - gotta have it to start the quest!

Maybe you could also build in checking whether player has Power-Key in possession when leaving Kazan-Oud. If he or she doesn't, he would not be able to "turn to 350".

version 1.7.3
In book 7, section 157, the used fireseed is not erased from special items list, probably a button could be made from the word "hurl".

They do tell you specifically: "Guard it well, for so long as you possess it you may fulfil your quest; lose it and you will never escape from the Isle of Khor."
Since the only section that leads to 350 is 122, I could easily add it to that button to check for the Power-key. (If you lose it along the way, there is one you can find mid-book.) If you get there with no power-key, you can't get through the power-shield, just as you were warned.
I like it! I'll put it in for now, and wait a bit to get feedback(on this, and the Awards thread idea of granting awards with any "official" ruleset) before releasing this update.

In book 7 section 50, if the fight lasts exactly 3 rounds, the button turn to 160 is highlighted (maybe bacause of Adgana checking after fight, which counts as another turn??)
EDIT: and another minor thing, could it be made usable the Bottle of Wine (found in book 6 section 40), when in book 7 section 261? There are checked only Flask of Wine or Bottle of Water.

@ Honza: on Sec 50, the fight length was just a mistake on my part - I put in the wrong number for how many rounds it should look for. It's now correct. (Adgana checking doesn't count as a round.)
Fixed the Fireseed usage on sec 157
Also, sec 261 now accepts "bottle of wine" from book 6, in addition to book 7's flask of wine and bottle of water. Great suggestion!
As always, excellent bug hunting and reporting!

As long as there's a way to permit it being the only item leaving section 1, the challenge is still there so it would work. A quick rewording of the hints is all it would take.

Ah, hadn't thought about that one! If we don't want to change too much, the addition of a hint that says "You'll have to find another Power-key once you are in Kazan-Oud in order to make it out again.", or something like that. Then, the whole "The people of Herdos thought you were crazy going into Kazan-Oud with no equipment, (and no way to get home...)" would make lots of sense!
Hmm, it might read funny, though if he uses the key beyond section 1. I'll look and see how it reads without the key.
EDIT: Nope, it reads just fine, since you obtain the power-key in section 1, and and use it there as well. As long as the player were to discard the powerkey after picking it up, he should be able to complete the award just fine as it stands(no code changes needed), provided he finds the extra power-key in middle of the book.
All it would need is some re-wording of hints.

Hi, I really dont know what happened but my profiles.dat just destroyed itself it seems. :-D I started a hardcore run, got to the begining of the 4th book and then closed the program. Now I wanted to continue playing but when I tried to launch the game it just didnt start. So I tried a few things and I found out that when I delete my profiles.dat the game starts normally... Then I found out that the profiles.dat size is 0 Kb which i guess is not good... :-( This wouldnt be such a problem but I already had a lot of achievements and I dont want to do them again, could u please look at the file and see if u can salvage something maybe? I am emailing the files to u.

In book 7 section 18, "...container spins from your hand..." could you make a button from the word "spins" to discard used flask/bottle of water/wine

Yes, I'll have to make a little custom bit where you can choose which one you get rid of, since you could have more than one possibility, and only use up one.... Won't be difficult.
Thanks for the bug-find!
Edit: Fixed for next release.
