THere are so many moments, that I had forgotten some of the Grand Master series. I loved traversing the Planes of Darkness and in Prisoners of Time, I thought it was pretty emotional to face the souls of those who you had slain AND talk to Kai in that tower in the Daziarn's Neverness.
The run to the tower in Chasm of Doom was pretty exhilarating.
Williams is definitely the best illustrator. I loved the early style of LW Books and it's something that really separated Lone Wolf from other books I'd seen, BUT Williams depiction of everything from Serocca to Yanis to Kekataag is just AMAZING.

1) The most heartbreaking? Is there any that made you mist up or even cry? The destruction of the Kai monastry in bk1, and relaisng how much of a loss this was to Lone wolf, Sommerland and the world
2) The most exhilarating? Running like **** from the ice barbians in bk3
3) The most heartWARMING moment? Lone wolf resotring the legacy of the Kai
4) A moment that you really just felt was well-written or well-crafted? The entire early portion of bk1. You felt giref for Lone wolf and mourned for the Kai, and I'm sure you craved revnege agisant the Darklords. And then their was that feeling of being a fugtiive, as you struggled ot escape from the forces of darkness who were trailing you. From a game porpsective bk1 was buetfiully crafted as well. You really had to think about you choice of displinces, and your choice of route. Plus it gave the book tremendous replay value.
5) Most terrifying moment or description(often the two are the same?) The first time I saw the choas master
6) Most triumphant(for you or for LW overall?) For Lw: Restoring the Kai For me: Beating bk8, when playing it as a stnadalone adventure (although I did give myself the benfits of healing, since lone wolf had all 10 discplines). took me like 5 attempts. It took lots of planning, near perfect choices in eveyrthing (like skills) and of course, a fair amount of luck

1) (Heartbreaking): (B6) - When Cyrus died... this was very sad for me. Even after all Lone Wolf did to save him.
2) (exhilarating): (B5) - Discovering that the Book of the Magnakai still existed!
3) (heartwarming): (B6) When I nailed that SOB Roark with an arrow after he started going nuts in the tavern.
4) (well-written): (B8) I liked the intro which explained the history of Dessi, Sun-Eagle, and the legend of the koura-tas-kai.
5) (terrifying): (B7) When Lone Wolf is entering Zadha's Maze... bloodied, beaten, and chained with NO WEAPONS. (Zadha seemed so much more deadly... then!)
6) (triumphant): (B12) When Lone Wolf returns from the Daziarn, revealing to the world that HE IS BACK!

Most heartbreaking: Making it up to Book 13, and then dying before I even got into Mogaruith... In the actual books, it was probably the deaths of Irian, Fenor and Dyce.
Most exhilarating: The whole chase sequence/battle from The Chasm of Doom.
Most heartwarming: Lone Wolf's reunion with Banedon in Book 12.
Well-written/crafted: All of Book 5. The whole thing is easily the high point of the series for me.
Most terrifying: The battle with Demonlord Tagazin on the Isle of Ghosts in Book 10. Plus, it's so damned hard to get to!
Most triumphant: Definitely the first time I found the Sommerswerd. It was just about the last book in the series I read, so finding it finally was a treat. I'd occasionally pretended to have it, giving myself a +5 CS bonus. Imagine my surprise when I saw what it could really do!!!

My favorite moment overall was taking down the death lord of Ixia, cs 60, ep 39 against my cs 52 ep 58. I lost that fight 2-3 times until I remembered I had kai-surge which made my cs 60.

My favorite moment is when gnaag is blasted to bits at the end of lw12. Most sad was when that magician dude in book 6 died. Most well-crafted writing: that's most of the series. Since I'm blind, I don't really think about the pictures, but the descriptions are downright awesome.

Brian Williams is my favourite illustrator. I think that the images of the Deathlord Ixiataaga, of Kekataag, and many enemies in the last books of Lone Wolf Grand Master serie are really well made. My favourite is the end of book 19 - Wolf's Bane - where Kekataag is tearing apart Alyss with great smashes of his axe... ;D I'd rather see Q****** in that situation, succumbing to the power of Naar's champion... ;D Kekataag didnt wash his underwear, very smelly.
