Usually these shocking horrible things are what stay with you... the poor girl! Just think - if she had been out collecting wood instead of Silent Wolf, the Lone Wolf series could have been very different...

Yeah, but she was really a clay golem. That's right!!! Gargamel made her, with clay and a heart of stone. She was a brunette at first. . . ~Relenoir, who remembers the Smurfs a bit too well. . .

Although in the novels Lone Wolf is described in detail, as a young boy and then into a young man, and as I have one or two friends who were introduced to LW by the novels well they never considered it. Also the picture on flight from the dark by Puffin pubblishers with a Kai Lord holding the battle axe amongst enemies left me with no doubt he is male. Further more if I were to argue 'Lone Wolf' to me sort of suggests male, if I wrote a story where my Kai hero was female I would maybe or said White wolf, Rogue Wolf, and I think Silent Wolf Lone wolfs orriginal Kai name could be more mistaken for a female then male name but I recon it goes with both.

"New from Joe Dever: The Lone Wolfette series! Is that even a word? Probably not. . . "
I reckon it would probably be "Lone She-Wolf". Which sounds like a feminist publishing company.

Like they say, communism works great on paper. In this case, the paper the Smurfs were drawn on! ;D

What those essays leave out is that the name Smurf is a cleverly disguised acronym:
Socialist Men Under Red Father.
Think about it.
Back on topic, are there any communist nations on Magnamund? Nothing really springs to mind.

Yep, dozens of sources on the net like that one. Nathan, good point. It must all be true... perhaps this is why the Smurfs "mysteriously" vanished from US TV at the end of the 80's!
