Coming from Sweden, which I would suppose is the correct area to correspond to Sommerlund, I'd say the following:
Summer is sommar in swedish. Sword is svaerd - the ae are a swedish letter that is in this instance pronounced as ai in fair. SommerSVAIRD would be an approximation of it.
Viveka is a normal female name in Sweden, pronounced VIIvehkah, with a long i (closest you get is ee, like in see), and short e and a.
However, Anskaven, Tyso, Toran, Banedon are all pretty odd names even in Sweden. =)
Another name of interest would be Haakon, that's actually a norwegian name: HAUkonn, with the au sound as in for.

Technically, I think it should be pronounced 'weed' (or oueed). I think it's one of Joe's attempts at humour! Just wanted to pass on a few happy grins from the Mongoose forum; they loved your theory! Thought you might like to know ... The Wytch-King

Oede: The oe reminds me of Greek origin words like Oedipus, oesophagus. I'm used to pronouncing it "eed".
I sometimes give an "international" pronunciation to nouns that don't sound English by pronouncing the letters the way they are pronounced in most European languages. Banedon: ban (y)e(t) don Viveka: Vee veh kah
but not always, Tyso: tie zo.
I pronounce Lund like the Swedish town and Haakon as in Norwegian.

I pronounce Haakon as though my cat has a hairball and he's "hackin'" it up. Lovely, I know!
