And I wonder what will happen to the previous books, the ones from 1 to 17.

Without going into too many details, I can tell you that you needent be too worried. The prices for shipping won't be far off what they were from the UK. As for for 1-17 and 28-32, fear not! More news is coming on that front shortly.
For Sommerlund and the Kai! -A

Supposedly Mongoose actually had a printer in the US they shifted to, which helped keep the shipping price down. (From what I recall from a few years back...)

Great news... Hopefully we'll see the famed 'German Efficiency' releasing these books at a regular rate and reliably. Good luck Mantikore-Verlag and all the best!

And since August is under a NDA, does it mean we will see the rest of the novels too?

Let's just say it's a distinct possibility. -A

Wonder what this means for the bonus adventures from 13-17, since freedom to make bigger changes for them was granted from 13.. Is it editorial and art changes to them that may change between german and english editiion or is it maybe different adventures altogether.

News like this confirms that I've made the right decision to finally sign up here instead of being the irregular lurker I usually am Wonder what this means for the bonus adventures from 13-17 I too wonder this. I also wonder if the bonus adventures will be continued in the new books. And because things happen in threes, I wonder whether the 1 - 17's will continue in print and whether the bonus adventures will still be included.

...and if the bonus adventures for 1-17 are to be reprinted, I'm happy to put myself forward as editor/proofreader to bring them up to scratch. While I liked the concept a lot, they tended to contain a lot of typos--including glaring errors such as incorrect Action Charts and broken links. It would be nice to get such things fixed before any re-release.

Well, that's certainly brightened my morning.
As for cutting postage costs, there's always the possibility of a wider release to local gaming shops [nudge nudge]... Also if you can bear to wait, you can always order two or three together. I've been waiting that long that now for Book 18 that time's become meaningless to me.
"You sense the conclusion to your long quest lies beyond the Shadow Gate. You step through the glowing portal and are plunged into utter darkness. A savage, freezing winds tears at you mercilessly. Unless you have the Grand Mastery Discipline of Grand Nexus or possess a Platinum Amulet, pick a random number and lose that many ENDURANCE points. For what seems like an age, you are buffeted like a rag doll and above the howling of the wind the only sound you can hear is the hammering of your own heart in your ears. Eventually a dim light gradually grows and finally, you are cast from the Shadow Gate onto a desolate plain. Looking through the haze, into the far distance you can make out the object of your quest - The lofty Ziggurat of Bk'Ayteen. Eagerly you check your possessions and prepare to strike out. To your annoyance your backpack has torn open. If you possess the Special Item THE MEGADEAL you must now cross it from your Action Chart, otherwise cross off the Second item from your backpack. You must also now eat a meal or lose 3 END). For what seems like hours you trudge though the desolation, but the watery sun never moves in it's position in the sky. After many hours in the chill landscape, to finally reach the great vaulted doors of the impossible structure. With only the lightest push, the doors swing wide. Before you, on a great table stands the objects of your quest! With a trembling hand, you reach forth and grasp the ancient tome. As your hand closes, the dreary world around you dissolves and to your surprise you find yourself standing in the courtyard of the Kai Monastery, however, much to your surprise, while only hours have passed in the Shadow plane, a year and a half have passed in Magnamund.
Turn to Page 350."

I second Outspaced - I would be very happy to help with proof reading. I suspect there will be less problems with the new runs though

From what I understand, the future books will have bonus adventures written by people at Mantikore-Verlag. As for the previous books (1-17), I do think they will still have the same bonus adventure we had before. At least, the bonus adventure in book 15 has already been written by someone from Mantikore and published by Mongoose.

To the best of my knowledge, Black Cat, that is exactly how things will work. None of the authors of the bonus adventures retained any rights to the work. Therefore, Mongoose could and did transfer reprint rights of them. The reprinted books will have the adventures from before, which is good news for fans of them.
The ones progressing forward will probably be as you postulate here - written by people working for Mantikore. I can't wait to see them; they should be excellent!

I know you are under a NDA, but is there a possibility that the Dire continues its adventures?
