Hello. I have never read any of the Lone Wolf books before, so I downloaded the books from Project Aon's website. I've been trying to get Seventh Sense to work for a while now, but to no avail. When I start the program and click on Flight from the Dark, it tells me to download the file, and that it can't download it itself. I've downloaded the ZIP file (Standard Version) from Project Aon, and I placed it in the Books folder in the Seventh Sense folder. When I go back to Seventh Sense, the ZIP button is gone, but when I press "Accept," the program gives a message saying the ZIP file doesn't work! Any help will be much appreciated!

Hi, sorry for the trouble you're having. The latest .zips on the official website have new formatting with the html files, so I have created an archive of the older zips, which my program uses (and which it downloads in the program.) You can access them for manual download here : projectaon.org/staff/david/Books/(the capital "B" is not optional.) If you put those .zips in the appropriate folder on your computer, you should be able to play the books just fine. Let me know if you have any troubles. (NOTE: could one of the general Moderators move this thread into the "Seventh Sense" forum? Thanks!)

Thanks! I just tried it, and it worked perfectly. Oh, and sorry about putting the thread in the wrong place... I didn't know there was a Seventh Sense section. Again, thanks!

Sorry for necro'ing, but do those zips still work with the latest version of Seventh Sense? Running on a fresh install, haven't been able to auto-download the books either, and when I place the zip files for the books in Seventh Sense/Data/books it doesn't do anything. Do the folders/files have to be named a specific way?

Should work. They go here: "C:\Users\...\Documents\Seventh Sense\data\books\book[1-20]". So each book has a separate folder. You don't need to extract the archives or rename them or anything. Books 16+ use the newest Project Aon releases.

Something is going on with the website... I just tried a fresh install, and can't get anything to download either. The "page visits" counter, as well as the download counters, as not showing up, either. So, something's messed up! I'll see if I can track it down. In the meantime, as UrQuan mentioned, the .zips from the PA site proper will not work until you get to book 16+. You can try this direct link for "old versions" of books 1-15: projectaon.org/staff/david/Books/ Just place the .zip in the "bookX" folder (X = 1, 2, 3, etc.), then start Seventh Sense, and it should work!

The website recently switched to HTTPS, and all HTTP requests are 301 redirected to the HTTPS equivalent. If the program doesn't handle the redirect, this might be the problem.

That makes sense. I'm sure that's what's causing the problem... I'll get that fixed for the next version.

LOL. Totally makes sense. I finally find exactly what I was looking for, and it is temporarily down. Just my type of Luck. LOL

Lore Strider - you can still download the main program, and then use the link provided above (about 4 posts up), to manually download the books. Once I get the code updated to deal with the https redirects, then you'll be able to download directly in-program. But you can still use it in the meantime!

Thanks Dave, but I am so tech impaired, I am lucky to even be able to find the page again. I have waited this long, I can wait longer. Plus, I have no clue what I am missing, so...
