So, I finally got a Kindle (! yeah I know, is it 2007 already?)
And I going through my collection of paper books, seeing what I can get electronic versions of.
For John Grant & Dever's "Legends of Lone Wolf" series, I'm only seeing the first 4 novels on the Amazon UK store (released in 2012)... Anyone know what the deal with that is...? How comes the rest of them aren't released? (here's me naively thinking that e-publishing meant an end to things 'going out of print'!)
Come to think of it - if I recall correctly, I had bought all these when they were originally published, apart from the very last one ("The Rotting Land")... I seem to recall buying that from John Grant's website directly as a PDF in about 1999 or something. Does anyone know the tale of the rights issues involved here?

Well this thread isn't exactly on fire But I did some googling myself and it appears that www.darkquestbooks.com are in the process of republishing The Legends of Lone Wolf, both in paper and eBook (Kindle) editions. They've got the first 4 (of 12) books out on Kindle at the moment, and paperwise they're bundling them up into Omnibus editions (first 3 out at the moment, which collect the first 8 books). I emailed some encouragement to their customer services! If you'd like to see the rest of the Legends of Lone Wolf republished, let them know... (We know you all love Quinefer )

Quinifer was fine, but Alyss got on my nerves something fierce.

Off-topic, but there's no U in Qinefer. I find her really irritating--particularly in Books 5-8--but since people tend to put a superfluous U in my own name, I thought I'd find some common ground with her. Any ideas what the differences are between the original print and Kindle editions?

As far as I can tell, the text itself is unchanged. All the frippery is different in the Kindle edition though: - different cover illustration - different promo blurb - different copyright & publisher info (obviously) - different (complete) list of other books in the series - no map - no "In Earlier Days..." preface - no glossary of Magnamund terms - no Brian Williams vignette illustration at the top of each chapter - different "about the authors" blurb (including a typo saying "Joe Devers"!)
