Now you can get Sommerlending crowns as extras on the kickstarter. I'm not sure how useful they will be, but they look cool.

Funnily enough, they're from a mob who I had considered getting some coins from for our HeroQuest games. I think I'll get some, just because but yeah, not cheap. I think they look good but I think they're a bit too stylised / detailed for coins that would be in circulation or what I would have imagined them to look like. Still a neat add on. I reckon you'd need quite a few if you were to use them full on because you'll have a few characters playing and a money pouch could hold quite a bit. It'll be interesting to see if this is a KS exclusive or whether they'd continue using them in the final game (which I'd suspect they would because a limited run would cost a fortune).

The crowns are being made by these guys: www.campaigncoins.com/ If you wanted generic RPG coins, these are cheaper, though postage may mitigate any saving. But they do have gold, silver, copper and multiple denominations.

That's right, I found them months ago. They're in Melbourne so shipping won't cost much for me

The kickstarter is only 6 days from closure and trust me, as a fan for over 30 years, I really believe Cubicle 7 is doing an outstanding job on this game.It literally ticks all the boxes I want from a game set in Magnamund. I have been asking a lot of questions to the creators and they have given some very solid answers. All I can say is that this will be pretty special. Ok here are the reasons you should all get involved:
1. Joe Dever is working closely with cubicle 7 to create the definitive rpg. A true Legacy 2. The system is going to be incredibly well supported. So this is what is coming out:
Box Set- basic rules for playing Kai Lords, with advanced rules for adding more crunch Terror of the Darklords - adventure Heroes of Magnamund- greatly expanded character choice. Aside from the iconic archetypes, such as Brotherhood mage, for the first time it will be possible to play more generic characters such as Durenese Merchant, Sommlending Thief or Lyrisian Scribe. Much greater freedom for character development including choice of nationality, race, role and social status Sommerlund- this is a full colour campaign setting for Sommerlund. This will also include a Sommlending calendar! Magnamund Bestiary Gm Screen Magnamund Maps - Cubicle 7 will produce all of the map sets.
As the line progresses their will be other supplements covering different races, eras (New order Kai), magic, tactical combat rules etc. Eventually there will even be rules to playing Noodnics!
3. Production values. Its the same team behind The One Ring so the game will look amazing. 4. The system will be modular. The basic game, intended for young gamers and fans who like the simplicity of the game books, is pretty much the rules from the game books, similar to the previous multiplayer rules, but fixing various issues (like multiplayer combats etc). Advanced rules expand the game, including more detailed weapon and armour rules, having Willpower as a stat for all players, including skills and traits, plus being to able to specialise your disciplines and powers. For example, for Kai Lords, not only can you specialise your choices of disciplines, but you also choose your starting region of Sommerlund, each granting unique traits.
So come on- this is going to be great. They have already made a bunch of stretch goals, but there are still many to go. 6 days to go so dont hang about!

Incidentally if you do back this (at any level- the text is not accurate on the pledge levels), you gain a kickstarter pack that will includes at least 3 exclusive adventures and bonus content, and you pay a set amount for all postage, irrespective of what you buy, including add ons. So for example, if you live in the uk, you pay £6 even if you order a box set, world map, four supplements, 4 map sets, gm screen, and coins! The other sweetener is that all of the supplements are priced as b/w and softback. If the stretch goals are met, and those supplement become hardback and colour, the costs stay the same.

Has anyone else backed this? I think the three of us in this thread has have and I know another from the HeroQuest forum I'm on. Looking forward to play testing the system soon too.

I really hope more fans jump on board this, as, unlike previous versions of the game, Joe Dever is working very closely with the cubicle 7 team to create the definitive rpg of Lone Wolf. The more backers, the more chance the books will feature full colour art like these incredible concepts: www.cubicle7.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/ArtPreview1.jpg

I really didn't think it would happen, but they reached £50,000 pledged for this project in just two days! There's less than 48h left for the Kickstarter and I wouldn't be surprise now that they reach £55,000. Way to go LW community!

Yes I think 55k is definitely possible. But 60k and up is where the magic will really happen. thats when the supplements become colour and in turn will create the model for future products. It's why I keep going on about it because then we have so much to look forward to for the initial release, and future books C7 produces. Let's it make it very special!
