I see over the years there have been some questions on creating software using the editions from Project Aon but not sure how the license will affect a project I’ve started so need some help please.
I’m using the Combat Heroes 1, Black Baron, book to create a game that will work on the Sega Mega Drive, or Sega Genesis for the US readers. Due to restrictions of the format and the IDE I’m using for development I’m only using the part of the image, the main area showing the dungeon. Then I have to use basic menu system to allow a player choice of Left or Right etc. The game system will keep track of items found and options available to open doors and track endurance etc.
This is obviously not for any profit but just to see if I can get it to work, so is this breaking PA licensing rules?

For personal use it's fine of course, for distribution I guess not if you use the copyrighted images. Is that actually the original art? Pretty terrible if you ask me.

I am using the original artwork as well as the story, as basic as it is, to try and keep it as close to the original as possible. Artwork does the job. Was wondering about releasing the ROM of the game so others could try, if there is anyone that would ever want to play on a Sega MD emulator or original hardware.

If no one objects I can post a link to the ROM if you are still around and interested to try this.

That would be awesome if you don't mind (public or private).
