Hello, Recently read Grey Star the Wizard for the first time since childhood and I have a question regarding meals/baclpack. If meals count as backpack items (and the backpack holds a maximum of 8 items) why is there a seperate box labeled "MEALS" on the action chart? Thanks! Attachments:

All of the Lone Wolf books have a seperate box for meals on the action chart. It's not necessary to fill out since as you say meals are backpack items, but if you do it's a quicker way to see how many meals you have left.

Agree makes no sense to have that extra box. When I was little and played I only entered in meals in the meals and got extra spaces in backpack but quickly realized I was wrong when the text mention clearly it is a backpack item.

The thing that threw me for a while was selecting meals when you start out on a Lone Wolf book adventure. It always said "you can choose five of the items below" and one of them was "four meals". I was like 'but if I choose that, then I only get one other choice'! Took me a while to realise my mistake...

It is up to the reader whether four meals should be considered one item in this context since they are grouped together as one item on the list, or four items. Seventh Sense considers them four items. Since they occupy four spots in your backpack I agree with this.
