Book XI: Prisoners of Time
Easily the most difficult adventure in the Magnakai series, this is one hell of a gauntlet. The first half is a fairly linear affair, but the Daziarn Plane is actually quite interesting and I found the characters and encounters to be tightly written for the most part. The second half is one tough combat after another, and most low stat characters will not make it through.
The Chaos Master is, well, a god, and most low CS characters are going to be killed here unless you do not bring the Swerd with you, in which case the Villains of Sommerlund will crush you at the end. Actually that is one of the most annoying things about this book; the idea of meeting Vonotar and all the other criminals exiled from Sommerlund was a good one, but the execution is just terrible. No build up, no prior mention of the villains at all, no meaningful interaction, just straight into a fight with the whole gang at once.
Basically you will need to fight with the Swerd to provide the best odds in this adventure. My previous solution for Book 10 can be found here. You will be using alether potions when fighting the Chaos Master, the villains and possibly even Vonotar if you did not encounter the Drakkarim Captain from Book 10. The overall odds for surviving this book are ok, and I note that IT IS POSSIBLE for even a minimum stats character to get through here (though the odds are less than 1%). There is some debate around the combat with the Shadow Reavers, for the percentile table at the bottom of this post I assumed LW would use Psi-surge every round, receiving the +4CS bonus and would count as dead if his EP score was 6 or less.
