Wondered if anyone made a list or have all covers from all around the world, would be nice to see what differences there would be,guessing lone wolf could have many different appearances maybe we could vote on best cover! saw some one ebay that I think was an american edition that wasnt very nice, sweden had better, atleast the first one with LW posing with a shortsword and an axe in the belt and slightly torn green jacket or vest.

Do you mean this one: homepages.tesco.net/~parsonsp/assets/images/flightdark.jpgThat's probably my favourite as well. I recall an argument on Kaiwisdom about whether the UK covers were better than the US covers, which ultimately of course is a matter of taste more than anything. Some guy even thought the Lone Wolf on the cover of FftD was "way too effeminate".

He is far too gaunt there. It looks like a Helghast impersonating Lone Wolf. I much prefer the cover with Lone Wolf in swirling green with his axe held out and creatures clustered around him.

Overal I like the US covers better. I mean, look at the UK version of Wolf's Bane. Lone Wolf is wearing golfer's leggings.

Wondered if anyone made a list or have all covers from all around the world, would be nice to see what differences there would be,guessing lone wolf could have many different appearances Ok, this is not a list of all the LW covers in the world, but only the English ones (UK and US versions). As you can see, there's A LOT! www.shirrok.com/LoneWolf/LWlist.htmlHere's the link for the Italian covers: stormsky.altervista.org/indexold.htm (in the left menu, click on "I Libri") Here's the French covers: gamebook.free.fr/index.html (click on "Les Séries" (bottom of the screen), then on "Loup Solitaire", and then you'll see the list of all the books. Click on each book to see the original cover. The 7 first books of the series have a new cover in the second edition, so just pass your mouse over the original one to see the new one.) Finally, a site that has a lot of covers from different languages, but a lot are still missing: www.gamebooks.org/lonewolf.htmFrom what I see in this last link, the new Spanish covers seem very cool.

Gary Chalk does the best covers for Lone Wolf, of course, and the guy who followed him wasn't bad either. As for Peter Andrew Jones, that wasn't just scraping the bottom of the barrel, that was going right through the barrel and digging into the ground beneath.

Aaaah, the fftd one really rocks imho, but what you mean with effeminate? I think the guy in question felt the image of Lone Wolf on that cover was a little too feminine for his liking - he was a total redneck though.

Just IMHO, you all understand, but I've always felt Peter Andrew Jones' covers were the best. Surreal, a good use of colour, and eye-catching.
Gary Chalk's Lone Wolf looks far too old to be 15, more like some guy returning from 10 years at the Crusades.
Brian Salmon's (??) Lone Wolf looks just like Luke Skywalker (check out the Beaver edition of FFTD! All he needs is for his sword to be replaced by a lightsabre).

I have the Red Fox editions of 1-3. I'm surmising that the cover of Book 2 has the undead captain on it and I'm theorising that Book 3 has the Crystal Javek from beneath Kalte, but I'm drawing a blank with the tattooed fat guy on Book 1.

I'd guess it's some kind of stylistic interpretation of the tomb in the Graveyard of the Ancients. But I could be wrong.

Still like Richard Corben's the best. LW looks neither too young nor too old, and the rest of the art is impeccable! He did U.S. #'s 4,5,&6, and possibly a couple of others.

Czech editions of Lone Wolf have own versions of covers painted by Slovak artist Juraj Maxon but unfortunately they released only first 15 gamebooks and only three legends (Don't you know if Project Aon will release Legends electronically? It will be much easier than gamebooks...) If you want, I can scan them for you.
