1) Where was the dark lord NHORG at the time the transfusor was destroyed? Or what was his fate? He is not located anywhere on the map. THAT is a crucial question, your eagle's eyes didn't miss it. I can reveal he will be in Bautar, the land of the Herbwardens, at the time the transfusor is destroyed. After remaining in the Darklands during most of the war (isn't he considered as the 'weakest' of the Darklords???), he will be sent to destroy this key ally of Sommerlund in the last month of the conflict. 2) The Shadaki empire is presented as a hostile country on the political map in The Realm of Sommerlund. But in Vincent's map it is drawn as an ally of Sommerlund. What has changed? askhati gave the right answer here. At the time of the Darklands War, Shadaki is part of the Free Alliance of Southern Magnamund, a confederation gathering the provinces of the Shadakine Empire, led by Wizard Regent Grey Star. Grey Star is an enemy of the forces of Evil, and he will of course ally himself with the Freelands of Northern Magnamund to repel the Darklords. I wish Vincent lots of enthusiasm and strength for his great work in the world of Lone Wolf. egel thank you so much for your kind words and support!

It was 8 years but unless I'm wrong, the Tanoz-Tukor weren't deployed immediately after LW goes into the Shadow Gate. I always assumed it took time and that at some point (possibly mid-way) the Nadziranim perfected the technology/harnessed the power necessary to have the Darklords out in the field full-time. It is bizarre to think that they could have been stopped. I assume that the Tanoz-Tukor enable the Darklords to not disintegrate but that they are still at reduced power outside the Darklands but I think I'm getting that somewhat wrong.

I also wonder if the Darklords’ demise happened immediately after the Transfusor was destroyed. I don’t see them disintegrating right away.
In Book 12, it is stated: His sorcerers, the Nadziranim, created devices they call “Tanoz-tukor” to enable each of the Darklords to survive in territories outside their accursed realm. Previously they had been unable to survive beyond the Darklands for any great length of time and, during these rare, brief excursions, their powers were greatly reduced.
Before the Darklands War, a couple of Darklords have made their way outside the Darklands.
SPOILERS ALERT
Vashna in Sommerlund (during the Age of the Black Moon). Zagarna in Sommerlund also, during the Siege of Holmgard Haakon in Vassagonia, with the Helmet Gnaag in Torgar (really close to the Darklands, but still outside). Kraagenskûl and Chlanzor in Ghatan
I imagine the Darklords not even realizing that their Tanoz-Tukor were not working anymore, getting weaker and realizing something is wrong when it was already too late to come back to the Darklands.
Another possibility is that I’m wrong and that their demise indeed happened really quickly, in a couple of seconds, because of the fact they have been many months outside of the Darklands. When the Transfusor was destroyed, the Darklords reverted right away to what they should have been after leaving their land so long, i.e. destroyed. Like that knight in Indiana Jones and the Last Cruisade.
Banedon and Rimoah seem to think the destruction of the Darklords would happen quickly.
‘You must make your way back to Aarnak. The demise of the Darklords will announce the success of your mission and we shall then mount an expedition to bring you safely home.

Thanks for all of the new information in this thread.
It would have been fantastic if Joe had been able to write that Darklands War series.
I always wondered what a Tanoz-tukor looked like.
Are they described anywhere?

Are they described anywhere? I think they will explain what it's like in the episodes of the podcast dedicated to the Darklands War. You should really check it: ook up for Journeys Through Magnamund on Spotify.
