I'm going through the books 1-20 over the summer and will try to keep a sharper lookout for typos. Just realized today that Project Aon has forums for this ^^
#7/ 187 {Castle Death} He casts an anxious glance over shoulder before unsheathing his sword and advancing towards you.
Should be over his shoulder.

Cheers! It's fixed in the source xml and will be fixed online the next time we re-release Book 7. Do please post any other problems or oddities you spot. It all helps.

GSTW:259 footnote: Should be 'Using YOUR true...' Should have a question mark at the end. Should be '...to USE it...'

Back to the comma issue on this sentence...
"By doing so successfully, you, too, will..."
Grammatically you don't need to comma after successfully. The sentence reads correctly as
"By doing so successfully you, too, will..."
Similarly, Joe has put commas before every use of "and" which is also not grammatically correct, but a ridiculously common mistake. It's done so much, though, I figured it would be annoying to point them all out. Maybe it's also a difference between American and British grammar.

Nope, commas are 'officially' not allowed before, or after 'and' in Britain either, but it's often done, and no one really minds. I don't think you can have a comma before or after an 'or' either, so my previous sentence broke the rules twice

Actually, see the Project Aon Style Manual, under the heading "Serial Comma": "To prevent ambiguity, all comma separated lists of three or more items will have a serial comma before the joining "and" or "or". " The serial comma, while stylistic decision, is coming more into common, everyday use. It was decided very early on (2000 or 2001) that Project Aon should adopt the serial comma as standard in its releases. Let me get back to you on the comma thing tomorrow...I really need to get some sleep right now.

Lists, sure, but for just regular "ands" serving as conjunctions?
I see a lot of this kind've thin in the gamebooks:
"You run down the length of the hall, and then you see a door"

PA has gone through and corrected many (most?) instances of incorrect comma splices in the books, so we probably added in the word 'and' before 'then'. Even so, as is my understanding, the comma is still required before the coordinating conjunction since what comes after "and then" has both a subject and a verb. (No, I'm not 100% sure what I'm talking about either...This post brought to you after a heavy bout of Google-Fu...)

Well, I'll see if I come across any more that better illustrate the point. Thanks Outspaced!

GSTW:259 footnote: Should be 'Using YOUR true...' Ha! Fixed. Gotcha. Sorted. Oh, and you forgot the missing possessive apostrophe in "...opponent's loss of ENDURANCE." Hopefully that footnote is now properly complete!

Jungle of Horrors: "This creature is immune to Mindblast (but not Psi-surge). Unless you possess the Magnakai Discipline of Psi-screen, you must reduce your COMBAT SKILL17 by 2 points at the beginning of every round you fight this creature." www.projectaon.org/en/xhtml/lw/08tjoh/sect183.htmThe footnote here implies that Joe probably meant Endurance to be lowered, but I'd like to offer another interpretation. It seems very likely that Joe meant CS is reduced by 2 for the length of the combat but chose to say in a way that makes it look like he meant every round. I think what he meant was "at the beginning of every round, remember to reduce your CS by 2 because of the effects of this ability." I think the Helghast's mindblast was meant to work like Lone Wolf's, in that it boosts CS by 2... but since this is the enemy using it, it effectively lowers LW's CS by 2 instead.

OK, I kind of see what you mean there. I've escalated the proposal to the Errata Page for Book 8. Cheers!
