It's probably just an error on their system. If a book is listed as being out of stock, they always offer the opportunity to get it used. Again, seeing as the book hasn't been shipped yet, this will probably get updated once the book is available.
So not to worry, I'm pretty sure everything is on track at Mongoose to get this book shipped in May.

I thought it was an error due to the wrong publication date listed on their site.
I didn’t know they were releasing the Darklands Supplement, until I did the search on Amazon.
I hope that the UK site has them in stock as soon as they are published.

I was actually wondering about what that was. I had seen it on the Mongoose website as an upcoming release, but it didn't say what game system it was for. I was hoping it was for the LW RPG, considering the title, but I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for clearing that up!

Initially Amazon.com's release date on their US site was April 5th. I know this because I updated my website the day I saw it. Then Mongoose announced that it was pushed back a month because of new editing practices they had instituted.
I'd guess early May for the core RPG and mid June for the Darklands book.

Mongoose Publishing is releasing a Role-Playing Game (RPG) based on Joe Dever's world of Magnamund. It uses the D20 (twenty-sided die) system for mechanics of play, like the most recent version of Dungeons and Dragons (3rd edition). It will allow you to play as a Kai Lord, a Knight of Sommerlund, a member of the Brotherhood of the Crystal Star, a Vakeros of Dessi (just like you Paido!) and several other types of people that you would find in Magnamund. Most of this information is on their website, and they have a preview of what the Kai Lord class is like. Visit it at www.mongoosepublishing.com and look for the Lone Wolf RPG; there is a lot of neat information about it. Enjoy!

Well, my pre-order just showed up on my latest MC. After the conversion the total came to $73 Canadian!!!! I wish I had checked Amazon.ca earlier, because you can pick it up there for around $37 Canadian (I'm sure shipping is much cheaper too!). My advice, buy the book from Amazon. I'll be doing that for the Darklands expansion for sure.

cheers, so it's a book that uses a die? I'm just not really with the whole dungeons and dragons scene. It reminds me of games workshop, but I'm not really with that either. paido? sorry it's the only character I can remember from the books! It's been that long!

It's actually a basic rulebook that explains how to play the whole game, and uses several different types of dice, but most of the rolls will be made using a D20. If you like the Lone Wolf books and think it would be fun to have more or less an unlimited number of choices of what to do in any situation (a little bit like life) then you will probably like the game. It's a bit hard to explain to someone who's never played, but think of it as if you are a person living in Magnamund who is similar to one of the types of people Joe Dever created in the world, and then having the opportunity to go on adventures and such based on what the Games Master tells you is going on. The GM is basically the person who describes the scene, runs monsters, etc. It's really neat, you should look into it more. Great way to expand the imagination! ;D
