One fellow I would definitely try to get some help with this from is Ronan from this board. He's come up with some neat adventures already, (although I still have to finish the second ) and could probably add nicely to your project.

I'm always interested in new amateur gamebooks, so I'll help you out with a little something I made : software to write gamebooks. I've already "advertized" this in a few places on the Internet, but you can have it too, since it's free. The name of the program is Advelh, and it can make your life a lot easier. Well, I think. You can ask it to draw trees of all your paths, forward or backward. You can get a color-coded grid of typed, reserved, and empty paragraphs. You can exchange paragraphs, and the program will swap the correct text references for you. You can scramble the whole adventure when you're done using the MasterMix function. Then you can have it scan for things like "Go to 101" out of paragraph 100, with the Proximity Scan. It supports all basic text formatting and exports the documents to RTF or HTML. And it does a bunch of other small things, too, like saving or loading 1 paragraph at a time, keeping track of recently visited paragraphs, counting your current paragraph tally, and such things. Interested ? Get it from my site at www3.sympatico.ca/mathieu.mayer/Files/EnglishAdvelh.htm. They have it over at FightingFantasyGamebooks.com too, as well as in the "Gamebooks" and "Fighting_Fantasy_Gamebooks" Yahoo Groups. Or contact me directly at xhoromag@hotmail.com and I'll send it over. It's a Visual Basic 6.0 program and it may give you some grief if you don't have all the DLL's it thinks it needs, but if it complains, you can download those on my website too (same address). Sorry if this post feels like an ad ... That wasn't really my intention. ;D Tell me what you think of the program if you decide to use it. Ideas for more features are welcome. And should anyone visit the rest of my site, you'll find a bunch of French amateur gamebooks I made, too. Have fun. The Oiseau

Welcome back, Wolf Gray. Don't you think that "Supreme Grandmaster" is just a trifle over the top?

Well, if you're all going to be that way, then take this Although I do hope we are not staying like this for long. It seems a bit... pretentious.

Not only that, but it'll take forever to load your sign-on name. ~Relenoir, still just Relenoir--no fancy titles necessary.

Well, me too a litte. Except that the arogance behind it made me want to throw up. Of course, it was meant as a joke. Hey, and it got everyone to change their name back to normal status!
