How about Random Death Rolls? Or a special item?

You are RANDOM DEATH ROLL
You have a habit of sneaking up on people. People are generally quite afraid of you as you are equally as likely to kill them as you are of greeting them. Your visage bears a strange resemblance to a ten sided die, or possibly the blunt end of a pencil.

Paido would fall under unfortunate guide, along with Praarg, Captain D'val, etc. There are just too many guides to individualize them, sorry Well, I think Paido is fairly individualized. You spend the entire book with him, unlike Dyce, Fenor, D'val, Lord-lieutenant Rhygar, etc. Just my thoughts. . .

Very true and duly noticed Relenoir, friend. I'll think it over.
~Zipp, who can't believe he's signed himself up for ANOTHER project, however short

Yeah, that was good! Very true and duly noticed Relenoir, friend. I'll think it over. Well, thanks! Oh, and Zipp, I was also thinking about Gwynian. I know he doesn't have as much text time as, say, Rimoah, but he does have that penchant for showing up at the most opportune times to bail LW out of trouble or give him some great artifact or advice. Just a thought, he is recurring.

Vonotar: a bastard, but clever Roark: bit of a bastard and quite arrogant Vashna/other darklord: complete bastard This hereby qualifies under the law of three-fold repetition. If it's funny the first time, repeat it twice and then stop NS.

Oh geez already. Put the claws away!! And for the record, I never really like Terry Pratchett's work. I found Mort funny, but really not some of the others. I guess Colour of Magic and That Light Fantastic prejudiced me forever!

hehehe, don't worry NS, just riffing with yer. As for Pratchett, personally i liked most of his stuff up up to and including Wyrd Sisters. The rest of em just run out of ideas really badly - the latest books are just constant rehashes of the same themes, set in a world which has had a bizarre transformation from a reasonably funny parody of various fantasy cliches to an anachronistic version of modern day earth. and the less said about alt.fan.pratchett the better...
