31 . I discovered Lone Wolf during my first trip to England, back i 1985 (last century and all that). I pretty much learned english because of those books (that, and the PHB was the only translated AD&D manual at the time). I kind of expected to be among that average-to-young here, it's nice to see so many young faces <back creaks>. Anybody knows how to put up a survey, so we could have some form of statistics ? PS : aaaargh, feeling old ! They're running that 80s nostalgia week on VH1 over here, hair's getting gray just watching that (well, hair mostly gray anyhow).

I didn't realize that so many older people were Lone Wolf fans. Yeah I know they came out when you guys were in your teens. But I would have thought you would have lost interest when you reached your late twenties/early thirties.

Hope you've got lots of cash saved from that tour in the military. The cheapest I usually see them is final sales price of about $45 U.S. on EBay. I pray that Joe will allow Project Aon to reprint them online!

Good idea! I'll go start one. I love surveys because I enjoy hearing others' opinions and learning about them.

This is as good a place as any for my first post on this board.
I'm 29. I work in IT and do consulting on the side. Never did finish college but I'm actually going back next semester so hopefully I can finish it this time around.
Anyway, I must have been 9 or 10 when I got into the series. A friend down the street showed me the first couple books. I read through the first 6 or 8 I think then missed a few books and never could back into it.
I stumbled onto this site pretty much by accident then read through the rest of the books that I missed. It's definitely a nice diversion from computer-based RPGs.

I believe that I am by far the youngest at 12 years old. Thank the neverwinter nights lone wolf module for addicting me. For some reason, interactive fantasy appeals to me. Lone Wolf is defintely the best gamebook series ever though. I only posses the first 2 books though and are looking to order 3 soon.

Well, it's like a friend of mine told me in email when I told him about the online books: "Kind of hard to curl up with a computer in bed at night." Oh no...Lone Wolf helped me escape some uncomfortable times when I was growing up. It's a part of who I am when you really get down to it. I'm just really happy that there is finally a place people can come to and talk about Lone Wolf. KL

Lone Wolf was my gateway into role-playing games. I've been playing ever since with enthusiasm, and always put some kind of creature, item or character from Magnamund into my games. Now that I'm 33, I no longer have to make up rules to insert them into the rules I have, as the RPG will be out within a couple of weeks. I'm all a-tingle with eager, slavering anticipation!
So, no... Interest in Lone Wolf for me has, if anything, increased over the years. Now I get to share this magic with everyone, with the RPG and Project Aon! A whole new generation of addict- er, enthusiasts!

Two years before I was born. I discovered them back in.....oh.....1996. I was born 1 year before FFTD published.Yet I discovered one published in Malaysia's version in 1998,that was 6 years back, the year which The Hunger of Sejanoz was published.(Malaysia isn't that FAR away!) The fact is Lone Wolf books were always sold out.And I'll only get them in so called popular bookstores only. How frustrating!

I'm 20. I was about 10 when I started reading LW. My interest faded over time, but was revived by the arrival of the RPG. Indeed, I've been inspired to complete my collection. At least up to 20, because I could vaguely afford to pick up 17 and 19 but the same can't be said about even one New Order book let alone 7 of them.

22 I don't remember when I started reading LW exactly, sometime in primary school. My 1st book was Chasm of Doom, and I totally loved it. I then read the Kai & Magnakai series in totally random order, and a few of the Grand Master series books. I also read some of the first few Legends books (it was kinda ok). LW is definitely one of the best fantasy series EVA!!! IMNSHO
