The first clue is that it was a computer game.
Here's another big one: In addition to the baddies I listed, you also have to watch out for lawnmowers.

A riddle, hmm? I was once only an Emir, but then I became one of the biggest bad@$$es in all of Magnamund. Now I'm dead. Who am I?

I'm gonna post a picture from the game. That's my final hint.

I very badly want to answer this one North Star. But... I won't... because I really would be a trivia hore then. Or, spelled correctly, a trivia [sleeper].

I don't know, but I'll make an educated guess based on the fact that I'm pretty sure the name doesn't appear in the gamebooks, and it's an evil sounding name.
Was it Zagarna before he became a Darklord (according to the Legends)?

No, the name does indeed appear in the gamebooks and it's not Zagarna.
Gwah! I should've let North Star say that... sorry.
I don't know why I like this question so much, but it's a good one.

Zipp is quite right Incidentally GB, Zagarna's name used to be Za'Garna, better known as 'Garna My patented and really easy method of trivia selection is simply picking up one of the LW books at random and flicking through it until I come across something interesting and trivial! NS. Edit: And that was my 500th post!

@ Zipp
wow... was it Entomorph:Plague of the Darkfall??? Certainly there are lots of bugs in it, and that talking spider at the end is tough! I spent like a week beating that game... wow, I feel really old, I did not feel it was so long ago! time passes fast. My first impulse was to answer "Horace and the Spiders", that's a classic for me...

Whoo! Someone got it! So you knew, GB? Yeah, I picked up The Sims from my sister a week or two ago and my girlfriend and I have been playing it fairly regularly. It reminded me of the old sim days.
Andyr, those are some old games! I've never even played them, though I've heard the name once or twice. Wow... Horace and the Spiders... what was that game about again?
Alright, Doomy, your go.
