On the website of LWO, you can find the transcript of Joe Dever's email to the LWO staff where he tells them that he was diagnosized with two tumors on his kidneys. His survival chances are high though, since they will remove one kidney and a part of the other one. JD, I know that you read what is said around here once in a while, although you never post. Sincerely, I'm sure that everyone here at PA and in the entire LW community wishes you well. Good luck!

Well, I guess I'll be the first to respond then.
Hope you get well soon JD. You're not allowed to be sick, you've still got four books left to write!

Our thoughts will be with him when he is undergoing the surgery. Whether or not you believe in spiritual healing, alternative medicine or simply medical fact, there is definitely something to be said for positive mental attitude. All we need to do is to believe that he will be completely cured after the event and *know* that whatever physicality seems to be saying, the spiritual truth is maintaining him whole. In undergoing the operations and remaining in our positive thoughts, perhaps then the seeming physical truth will alter to match the actual spiritual truth.
Richard.

So he'll get through this, no problems, or may my head be put on a Vassagonian spike. ;D HW

You don't need both kidneys anyway. I know you'll make it, Joe.

Best wishes to you, Joe. I'm sure you'll triumph over this illness, though I do not envy you that road. We're all out here rooting for you, and we owe you a great debt for the years of enjoyment you've given us with this wonderful creation of yours.
