It's obvious that the adventures of Grey Star come before those of Lone Wolf, but I haven't been able to figure out how far before. Anyone?

Actually, they happen simultaneously. Both Grey Star and Lone Wolf set out on their respective quests in the year MS5050. Of course, Grey Star's quest is completed much sooner than Lone Wolf's.
Hope it helps.

It does. But how do we know that?

There's a timeline in the Magnamund Companion that has this information on it.

I'm inclined to follow the MC's timeline personally. Of course, you could argue that since Buccaneers of Shadaki is more recent, then that should take precedence, but since the MC is in timeline form, and the other date is in the text, I prefer to assume that that the second is wrong.
Still, I guess we'll never know for sure.

Well, we could always ask the Joe Dever impersonator what s/he thinks is the answer is, but I'd rather not.

Well, we could always ask the Joe Dever impersonator what s/he thinks is the answer is, but I'd rather not. In book 22 its said that Shasarak was destroyed in MS5054. I guess Oberon-Grey star could have completed his quest in 4 years; I played those 4 books before Flight from the dark, just like an introduction to the true quest ;D

Unfortunately I don't have access to the LW books after 20 (never published in the US and I don' t feel like spending $100 a pop on ebay)...but, both Lone Wolf and Grey Star spent time on the Dazrim (sp?) plane...in which time moves differently from Magnamund (at the start of Book 12 you find out LW was away for like a 11 years even though for him it was only a few days. Grey Star spent time on Dazrim too looking for the moonstone.

According to all the infos that are scattered all around this forum, LW went into the Daziarn 5 years after GS escaped from it. Also, both heroes started their missions in MS 5050. For more details, you might want to check the link that I putted in my precedent post in this thread.
