Blame the Gm's advertising! You can sign up for free and play the game, but to access any new features, plus a lot of in game locations, you'll need to become a member of the adventurer's guild (ag), which requires the subscription.
the free portion of the game, which up until September was! the game, stretches over slightly more than two thousand pages of text.
the stats system is a litle strange at first, but just ask me (I'm writing a complete beginner's faq about it so I've done some research), or come along and ask on the Sryth forum.
Sorry about sounding like an advert.

Don't worry about sounding like an advert, I am actively recruiting in different forums for Tower of the Sun (actually, the Dwarfs there) so you are not hte only one! And I singed up to that game the other day, I thought it was not that complicated, and it is fun Al

Well, as to complexity, it's probably just a matter of perception. Having sat around on the Sryth.com forum sinse january having lots of people asking questions about stats ---- well you see what I mean. I suppose if you compare the stats system in Sryth to something like Ad&D it's not too bad at all.
Glad you like the game Al, maybe I'll see you on the forums --- or the ranking tables!
As to Towerofthesun, my thought is that if people didn't advertise things I wouldn't have found a lot of fun stuff ---- including Projectaon.

I tweaked outs off once, but I have a nasty habit of doing that to people. I'm also the one who claims his stars are Doomstones. But, I was the one who made the accusation, and I still haven't heard any evidence to the contrary ;D. As for tweaking, we all have a raw nerve somewhere about something (or we wouldn't human, or dwarf)and just because you know where it is doesn't justify using information that way...

I think the reason I made him so mad was because I asked for opinions, he gave his, and I told him he was wrong. Which... you know, wasn't really good form, on my part.
