As most of you know, Sun Eagle was the first Kai Magnakai Master and subsequently founded the Order of the Kai and wrote all his knowledge and wisdom into the Book of the Magnakai(mostly remembering from Book 5's story).
Is there any more info on Sun Eagle? Does anyone know if there's a possibilty for a series of gamebooks where you play Sun Eagle? Lone Wolf(Skarn) has been very well fleshed out in 20 books(haven't read the novels, cannot comment on them). Would be nice if Sun Eagle gets his own series, a fitting tribute to the first Kai Magnakai Master.

There is information about him in the MC, but not really much more than we already knew. It says he was a baron of Toran, and that his name came from combining a salute to the sun-realm and his baronial crest of the eagle. Other than that, it mostly talks about the Kai Order and stuff that is common knowledge. I can't remember if he's fleshed out more in the Legends series, but a lot of information in those are Paul Barnett/John Grant's opinions and creations, and not to be trusted. It's been a long time since I read the earlier novels.

Wasn't his name given as Raunor somewhere? Or was that another Legends thing?

Sun Eagle's original name is listed as Raunor in The Sacrifice of Ruanon. Whether that comes from Dever's notes or was Grant's embellishment, I can't say.

Another question on the long list of questions we would like to ask Joe Dever.

I wouldn't have thought that was such a bad thing. Okay, the Magnakai books are very episodic as LW reeled from one crisis to the next. But it gave great impetus to the story, and the acquiring of knowledge via the Lorestones was a satisfying way to reward playing the books in order. Bring it on, I say!

If this Sun Eagle series is really going to be about his Lorestones' quest, then I would like it to be different from the one made by Lone Wolf. What I mean is that in the Magnakai quest, particularly books 7 to 10, the Elder Magi tell LW where he needs to go and what he should do to get the Lorestones. I would like the new series to be more like book 6 of LW series where we don't have any clue about the real location of the Lorestone and, so, we need to collect these clues ourself (just like what GS did to find the Lost Tribe of Lara in his first book).

Sounds good to me. Having the Lorestone of Varetta turn up in Varetta...that would be too obvious!

Of course, it could be kind of interesting if the location were well known, but the challenge for most of the book were actually getting to it. Imagine Sun Eagle having to make his way through section after section of avoiding guards, lurking creatures, and traps throughout the Varetta palace to reach the Lorestone tucked away in the uppermost tiers somewhere? Could be kind of fun, then he'd have to get back out after having its power transferred to him.
