Does anybody know what happened to Grey Star? In "The Buccaneers of Shadaki", it is mentioned that he has disappeared. Any ideas in what may happened to him?

It is said in book 22 that Grey Star is officially in a quest in western Magnamund, but there is also a rumor that he is in fact imprisonned by Shasarak's minions. A second Grey Star series might answers that.

Well, if he was in western Magnamund, it obviously wasn't on the island of Sheasu!

Darn it all to Naar and back! I meant of course "Grand-Apprentice"! So the answer to your question would be: One "generation" closer, why? The Wytch-King

Hey, and if Tanith is a Great-Apprentice, what does that make me! His father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate?

His father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate? Absolutely nothing!

I hope this is an OK topic for this question:
Always wondered about Grey Star's Wizard Staff and the use of Willpower in general. I found the mechanic to be vague. Here's how:
We all know that Greystar can expend 3 Willpower to do 3x damage. But what if I want to do the "normal" damage (1x)? Do I have to spend 1 WP point, or can I just crack someone over the head with my staff (no bolt of energy) for the 1x damage?
Also, there is a special seed you can get in Book 1 (does anyone know the name?) It says that when you use the seed, you don't have to expend any willpower points when using one of your powers OR the Wizard Staff. So, let's say I go into combat with the staff. Can I use the seed to do 5x damage? 10x? 1000x? Would the seed only last one combat round or many? Do I need 3 seeds to get 3x damage? This part seems SO important, but I have no clue what I should do.
Grey Star fans, help!

Do I have to spend 1 WP point, or can I just crack someone over the head with my staff (no bolt of energy) for the 1x damage? It seems quite logical that since 3x WP means 3x damage, to get 1x damage you need 1x WP. The Game Rules state that "If you decide to use a spell or utilize the power of your Wizard's Staff, then you will lose WILLPOWER points. If at any time your WILLPOWER falls to zero, you may not use any of your spells or your Wizard's Staff." This also clearly indicates that you do use WP points when using the Staff, as does the description of how to use the Staff in combat in Magical Powers. The interpretation that Project Aon has included as footnotes in the books is that Tarama Seeds can not be used in close combat with the Staff, only for shooting bolts of power at a distance (which typically costs 2 WP). The only real support for this is that the play balance would suffer if Tarama Seeds could be used for instant kills in combat.

I can't believe I'm the only person on Earth ever to think of this, but...
To prevent the gameplay from being too unbalanced, why not make a Tarama seed in close combat equal to ONE WP point?

And why am I the only one thinking of having a continuous restoration of willpower point in the combat section? All characters in Warcraft experience hit points (HP) regeneration and Mana restoration continuously, even in the heavy battle.

Yeah, one problem with the GS series is the lack of anything resembling Healing/Curing...
