There are something like 8 books in this series, right? What happened after that? I don't think I read as far as the last one... did Joe just stop writing, or does your guy kill off Naar or something?

Joe had planned to write four more books, but the publishers didn't want to publish them.

Any idea why? Had the series just lost its popularity?

I seriously doubt that this could happen, but if he already started working on the four books that were 'never meant to be' couldn't he just publish them on the site? A fleeting but comfurting thought I guess...

Hmm, this bit from the interview was interesting:
Anyone have any idea if this was before or after Baldur's Gate took off? I'd never thought about this, but he's got a point. Odd that we haven't seen more of this.

hmm yeah ... what would he do with the final 4 books. he could publish them on the website but it seems like it'll be a long time before it happens, if it does

From what I remember about when someone first told me about Baldur's Gate, which I think is a city about halfway between Waterdeep and Calimport from Faerun, it was before Baldur's Gate came out, but I'm not 100% sure. Just going by memory, no hard facts.

I still think that Agarash the Damned would be making a triumphant return in time for Book 32, had they been written!
