Taryn and commentator, you two are awesome! Between the two of you, you've done 7 of the 10 completed book summaries. And they are fantastic! Thank you so much for your efforts.
As Doomy predicted, the later books are indeed more verbose.
edit: Wow, it looks like we only have 4 more Magnakai books and 4 Grand Master books to summarize!

Hey, thanks.
In some languages, including Japanese, there is no separate plural form.
One ninja, two ninja One samurai, two samurai One anime, two anime etc.

You have nightmares about languages in which words don't have grammatical number? Weird...
I'd think a more troublesome situation would be where the plural isn't consistent, such as in German: Mann -> Männer Frau -> Frauen Lehrer -> Lehrer Apfel -> Äpfel Auto -> Autos Hand -> Hände Brücke -> Brücken Jahr -> Jahre

My reaction to the work so far... I can see why the forces of darkness are always a hair's width from success. Every other single person in that world is just plain incompetent. I mean seriously, just making it to adulthood seems to qualify people to rule/guide/betray et al. Also, someone should think about tracking down the infinite talismans of ancient evil littering the landscape and maybe recycling them for children’s swing sets or some such thing.

Wouldn't that just make swings of ancient evil?

True. At least they wouldn't keep falling into the hands of well equipped enemies. I'll take park wardens and groundsmen anyday. As for evil children, a well placed slide of redemption will sort that whole problem out. Ps. Unreachable sections? That's an interesting way to hit the magic number I guess.

[263] Peered through the grotty glass at the unimposing Drakkar seated inside. [264] Regaled Prarg with tales of old victories on the long and sombre trek. Fell into a light sleep after rousing Prarg for second watch. [265] Disintegrated the lock with deftly used discipline. [266] Frustrated at finding the map to be useless. [267] Prepared for battle as the unsuspecting troopers drew near. [268] Fought Tokomaks (CS 38, EP 34). [269] Lay dazed in the boat’s prow as Kai power slowly worked to heal the result of mistimed steps. Floated ever nearer to Konozod. Lost 6 EP. [270] Carefully aimed and fired at the executioner. [271] Neutralised the beast’s psychic attack with the divine blade of the Sommerswerd. [272] Fought 3 Tukodak Guards (in battle-frenzy) (CS 44, EP 44). [273] Heartened to find the hidden boat. Traded stories of times past with Prarg as the Hellswamp loomed ever larger on the horizon. [274] Mouthed a silent scream as it became apparent that the refreshing shower was in fact a burning rain of corrosive acid. [275] Crept silently through the trees flanked on both sides by the Lencian scouts. Breathed a sigh of relief as one volunteered to make safe contact with the encamped mercenaries. [276] Leapt back atop the heavily breathing horse and frantically pushed on in a desperate bid for freedom. Slowed only after escaping the range of enemy arrows. [277] Set the cabin ablaze and created an effective diversion. Snuck deeper into the dark woods before eventually making camp fifty feet above the ground. Ate or lost 3 EP. [278] Easily picked off the Drakkarim leader with expertly aimed arrows. Continued unchallenged down the waterways until nearing the fortified city of Konozod some time later. [279] Frantically struggled to reach the relative safety of the water as the Gorodons charged the grounded boat. Mouthed a quick prayer as their arrival cut off the path of retreat. [280] Spun in anxious confusion as a falling portcullis trapped Prarg with Magnaarn and his vile bodyguards. Seethed as they roughly handled the unfortunate guide and spat taunts in his face. [281] Fought Antah Wasps (CS 40, EP 30). [282] Gathered the makings of a modest meal and insisted Prarg eat his full. [283] Fought Tarhdemon (polymorphed Nadziran) (CS 42, EP 42). [284] Waded out to the gently rocking boat and boarded with Prarg’s welcome assistance. Made camp many hours later, taking the first watch as Prarg collapsed into an exhausted heap shortly after disembarking. [285] Fought Tunnel Stalker (CS 43, EP 48). [286] Breathed heavily as the few surviving war-dogs limped off into the night. Cautioned Prarg to remain vigilant before falling into a well earned deep sleep. [287] Laughed as the Drakkarim scrambled to escape the “mighty sorcerer” and his deadly arts. Continued on without incident until finally nearing the fortified city of Konozod. [288] Slipped away into blissful oblivion. [289] Prepared for battle with the Drakkarim sentries. [290] Sensed the subtle tendrils of an ingenious eldritch trap. [291] Tensed in fear as the bolts screamed through the air with unnerving accuracy. [292] Struggled to resist the siren call of much needed sleep. [293] Voyaged easily through the frozen plains until approaching a group of Drakkarim huddled along the river banks. [294] Traded old war stories with Baron Maquin, each gauging the other and smiling with earned mutual respect. [295] Dashed into the cabin rather than being seen by the approaching mounted troops. Came face to face with a spluttering Drakkarim and prepared to silence him before he could summon help. [296] Overcome by pity at the sight of the huddled charred bodies littered throughout the small town. Hurried towards the ruined inn’s cellar, drawn there by the barely audible sounds of someone drawing slow, ragged breaths. [297] Fought Mawtaw (CS 38, EP 50). [298] Repressed an unseemly grin as Prarg failed to win the coin toss and settled down to take first watch, grumbling the whole time. [299] Searched the prone body. Returned to consider the rubble filled stairwell. Found Silver Rod among other items.
[300] Stared across the ruined temple, breathing in the comparatively fresh air and enjoying the sense of openness. Began a meticulous search for any sign of Magnaarn’s actions since the confrontation in the deep temple so long ago. [301] Breathed in through clenched teeth as pain threatened to mar the victory at the barricade. [302] Redirected attention as the crow suddenly took to flight. [303] Drifted slowly past the unoccupied Ciquali village. Ate or lost 3 EP. [304] Intuitively unlocked the door with the Green Key and peered into the foul-smelling room beyond. [305] Fought Armoury Guards (CS 32, EP 40). [306] Searched the war-dog pen as Prarg saw to his grisly work above. Stole in the shadowy recesses of the alley. [307] Cautiously entered the domed chamber, struggling to breath the musty air within. Shook with anxious excitement as Kai powers screamed out the danger posed by the very near Doomstone. Leapt across the flagstones as dark power roared across the room. [308] Sensed the Doomstone’s maleficent presence. [309] Sighed in exaggerated exasperation as Prarg fell into a deep sleep. Scanned the shadows for many hours uneventfully until the subtle stench of Akataz made itself known. [310] Camped in one of the abandoned cabins, exhausted but excited by the discovery of Magnaarn’s boarding point. [311] Quickly searched the bodies of the slain Tukodaks and then entered the tower. Found Items. [312] Paralyzed the Drakkarim sentries with a well placed psychic blow. Broke through the barricade and made for the outer defences. [313] Revived Prarg as he lay dying on the ice. Lost 5 EP. [314] Slipped through the Drakkarim infested town avoiding detection and gaining valuable intelligence. Hid in the back of a handy cart. [315] Clasped Captain Prarg’s hand in warm recognition. [316] Parleyed with the suspicious mercenaries until the scout successfully convinced them of his humanity. Welcomed with open arms and escorted to the tent of Baron Maquin. [317] Watched Prarg move stealthily across the littered field and crouch low against the tower foundations. Followed in his footsteps although anxious about the guards magical device. [318] Fought Tunnel Stalker (CS 43, EP 48). [319] Bid the horse a fond farewell as it wondered off across the bridge creating a useful second set of tracks. Fell into a leisurely pace travelling through the undergrowth until woken from daydreams by Prarg’s whispered warning. [320] Scoured the site until every shred of evidence of Magnaarn’s passing was uncovered. [321] Sped through the corridors as the dark oppression of the Doomstone grew ever nearer. [322] Sailed on through the featureless landscape, pausing only occasionally to check the bearing. Finally confronted with the question of where to make camp. [323] Sifted through the sack’s ill gotten contents with a shudder. Slipped towards the compound fence, an audacious plan maturing with every careful step. Found the Jadin Amulet. [324] Hid among the rolls of canvas and began formulating a plan to free Prarg. [325] Warned Prarg about the dangerous traps littered about the place. Turned in dread as the Warlord Magnaarn’s voice echoed against the polished black walls. [326] Fought Gartoth (CS 43, EP 50). [327] Took sole charge of the oars as the blanket wrapped Prarg shivered in the chill snow-filled morning air. [328] Quickly lead the troops towards a more easily defensible position. Confounded by the appearance of a new threat. [329] Snatched a partial look at a map lying discarded within the cabin. Considered the best means of entry. [330] Fled through the tunnels as the howling of the beast’s companions drew near. Stumbled upon a rubble-filled stairwell and the corpse of a ill-fated Drakkarim. [331] Floundered as the beast ignored the psychic compulsion and launched into an attack. [332] Decimated the closing ranks of the Drakkarim with a well placed bolt of brotherhood magic. Galloped through the sealing barricade with barely a second to spare. [333] Hurried up yet another flight of stairs towards the source of the crisply fresh air. Gazed up the chute and considered the best way to dislodge the buzzing insects within. [334] Drowned in the swirling tides, a victim of a well aimed crossbow bolt. [335] Fought Tunnel Stalker (CS 44, EP 49). [336] Retreated across the room and leapt down upon the unsuspecting lancer below. [337] Quickly ended the enemy threat. Rushed across the open ground and paused only on reaching the shadowy safety of the alley‘s dark recesses. Lost 2 EP. [338] Released the pent up power of brotherhood might into the resisting lock. Smiled with satisfaction as it’s mechanism screamed in surrender. [339] Flung the Akataz leader through the air like a rag doll. Grinned evilly until the fleeing packs’ whimpering yelps grew faint in the distance. [340] Levitated to the jutting ledge, silently thanking Banedon for his tutelage. [341] Stared out across the battlefield and felt a flicker of hope. Set off towards the city of Darke with a renewed sense of purpose. [342] Galloped away under the cover of musket smoke. [343] Faced the Ciquali with weapons drawn and brows knitted. [344] Searched through the scattered boxers and cases. Found Items including Signet Ring. [345] Quickly dropped to the boat’s floor in a desperate attempt to avoid the flying arrows. [346] Sped into action as Prarg slipped into shock below the ice sheet. [347] Worked diligently at the rubble filled stairwell until finally breaking through to the open space beyond. Turned in fear as the scuttling sound of an approaching enemy echoed through the halls. [348] Galloped through the scattering Drakkarim with Prarg clinging desperately on. [349] Healed Prarg’s wounds as the fleeing Ciquali splashed away into the darkness. Ate or lost 3 EP. [350] Destroyed both Magnaarn and the accursed Nyras Sceptre from which he drew so much of his power. Basked in the praise and thanks of the gathered dignitaries. Fell asleep with the echoing cheers of the celebrating commoners ringing through the night.

commentator - you are on fire! These summaries you are doing are fantastic. Wow!
a quick question - in [346] is "into shock in below" a typo?

Yup, definitely a typo. I went back and fixed it, hope it was the lone survivor of earlier purges...'cause if there's one thing we learned from Lone Wolf it's that lone survivors aren't going to be a pain in the future.
Edit: Nope, found a few more.

Darke Crusade's done so I'm going to make a slow start on The Masters of Darkness if that doesn't step on any toes. A little Magnakai struggle should make for a nice break from the earth-shattering seriousness of the Grand Master stuff.
Ps. Is there any procedure for reporting editing problems? I've caught a few mistakes so far (like the one in section 200) and am wondering if I should be keeping a list.

Do you mean a problem in the book on PA? Yeah, I'd keep a list for the book, and when you're done summarizing, submit the list on the "Support Board" forum. Some of it may already be fixed in the xml, but if you caught something new, I'm sure they'd be grateful!
Oh yes, and go right ahead and start of Masters of Darkness. That'd be great.
