PS: Thanks outspaced for your reply, I'll try to update the wiki when I come back from holidays The page to update is: www.projectaon.org/en/Main/BooksJust add an entry to your AON pages in the Works in Progress section at the bottom. Anybody writing an AON software program sufficiently advanced for public review can add it to this page, and I will add the rest when I have time

LoneWolfDS is the best homebrew port I've seen. Excellent implementation. About how many hours did it take to do?

Does it work on any DS emulators? I wonder if some DS emulators will have trouble with this because it expects you to hold the DS sideways...

LoneWolfDS is the best homebrew port I've seen. Excellent implementation. About how many hours did it take to do? Well, it took me about 4/5 months to code the engine, design the game, make the graphics and compose the music. Now future books might take much less time (hopefully!) since the engine is stable and expandable. For the emulators, it seems there are some troubles with the fact that the game loads data from the ROM dynamically. Since there are emulators releases on a regular basis, I keep testing them with LoneWolfDS. If I find a working solution, I'll let you know immediately

Just a quick message to announce a new version (v1.4) with many bugfixes. Now there is also a fully translated version into Spanish!

Just to check - is the Spanish text Aon authorised?
I am aware that there are legal issues surrounding anything to do with translating Lone Wolf due to the differing publishing rights in various countries.

Yes, the online Spanish translation of the Lone Wolf books was sanctioned by Joe Dever.

Just finished the 2nd book and I gotta say it's just as amazing as the first. I don't have any new suggestions (since my old one's were pretty good ;) but I did notice 2 possible bugs. The first is section 181 where sadly the item list didn't appear. The other slightly odd thing was that in section 269 when i got my magic spear back, it turned from a weapon into a special item. I'm not quite sure if that was intentional or not but i thought I should point it out.
By the way I loved the way the mini-game was handled and I also noticed all the bugs from the previous versions of book one have been resolved in the latest release.
Keep up the good work!

Ok so I just thought of another big suggestion (my apologies...) I got the idea when I noticed my sommerswerd was switching positions between the "weapons slot" and the "special items slot", much like the magic spear. I had always believed that weapons like these only belonged in the "special items slot" and would not take up either one of my weapons slots. Basically my idea here supports this theory along with sorting out the issue of any duel wielding or equipped weapons confusion. My suggestion is an "equipped tab". Here is an explanation of the slots on the tab: 1) weapon = the one weapon thats currently equipped (thankfully Joe clarified the dual wielding rule in the new editions) 2) shield = if a two handed weapon is equipped then no shield can be equipped (Broadsword, Quarterstaff, or Spear types) 3) helmet = slot for the "helmet" or the "silver helm" 4) armour = four slots total, each explained below: a) slot for the bronin vest OR chainmail waistcoat b) slot for the padded leather waistcoat c) slot for the silver bracers d) slot for the kagonite chainmail The other new thing suggested is the necessary button for "un-equpping". In the other tabs it would be there as well but it would read "equip" of course. I was also thinking that on the other tabs an item would change its text color to purple or something once equipped. Oh and please don't take my crappily thrown together image or the purple stick figure too seriously. I just needed something to help illustrate my point

Your suggestion is very good. It is in fact almost identical to what I will be using in the next version of Seventh Sense! It is essential for the game to have a clear understanding of what weapons/or armor you are actually using. Though, in my opinion, Lone wolf should only be allowed to *wear* armor, and not just carry it around. So its either equipped or he doesn't have it. But the sheild/weapon/one-handed/two-handed business is essential.

Hiya. This is my first post here and I'm already coming in with suggestions! While I really like the idea of Haskelpauls I would expand it ever so slightly so that you could highlight more than one item at a time so that they can all be moved or picked up at the same time. For example it would be good if you could pick up 3 meals found in the wild rather than picking up one at a time. It doesn't really add anything to the game but just makes it a little slicker (in my eyes at least!). And the notepad idea would be pretty cool! BTW: I have posted on a number of sites praising this software to the max but I thought I should say something here. This really is my favourite homebrew on the DS and has encouraged me to re-explore (is that even a word!?!) the world of Magnamund - something I haven't done in years. Thankyou very much for taking me back to nicer and more innocent times. PS: I have donated already but I will donate more in the very near future.

Hi! Thanks for the kind words and nice suggestions Indeed the Equipped tab might be interesting, even if I think it may require some non-trivial changes in my code. Nice graphical mockup though, I'll see what I can do I'm about to release v1.0 of FOTW (this one was a release candidate), which should fix several bugs, including the merchants one in section 181. Thanks for your support! Frédéric

I notice that you're credited with the music. Would you be willing to release this separately, at all? I know it's a little cheeky to ask but I'd really like to listen to your music while playing my books - it all adds to the atmosphere! PS: Can't wait for v1.0 EDIT: I don't know if you've noticed (I didn't until just now!) but when you carry your character over from the first book the explanation of the number of skills you have is wrong (at least the grammar is). It first mentions 5 skills that you can choose and then tells you to pick a sixth! Also, when you 'roll' for gold you don't get the extra 10 added onto your total even though the rules explicitly say you should get them. Oh, and your characters Endurance isn't set to full again (I think it is generally accepted that your endurance is reset at the beginning of a new book). Sorry for not noticing before it's just that I rushed past the beginning of the book to get stuck into the story - again sorry!

Hi, Yes, I could put the OST for download on my page, I just need to find the time to do it About the gold, many people keep reporting this to me, but to my knowledge, if you are continuing from a previous book you should add the random number to your current gold. Adding 10 is only if you begin your adventure from Book II. Or did I misunderstand something ? For the endurance, you're right, I'll restore it to full. Thank you! Frédéric
