Just noticed a tiny new bug- it's section 283 of book one. I noticed that my combat skill was correct for the first round, but after that it should have been 2 points less for my lack of mindshield, but it wasn't. Hey fredc, you don't mind us posting bug reports here do ya? Just let me know if you'd prefer that we email em to ya Also, I gotta agree with lycanthus in regards to the Gold Crowns in book 2. It says the "sum" is added to your previous number of crowns. "Sum" being the key word since the definition is "the result of adding two numbers together". The two numbers in this case are (a)the random number, and (b)10. Oh and the music is awesome too by the way. It sets the perfect backround for lone wolf in my opinion. Thanks again!

Hey fredc. Thanks for considering putting the OST up on your site. When you do I will put a wee present in your paypal account. As for the gold Crowns situation haskellpaul hit the nail on the head. It is the sum of the coins (random number + 10) that is added to the coins you finished your last quest with.

Good point about the sum! Ok I'll change this About the bug reports, you can put them here, but I must admit it's easier to track if I receive them directly by email Have fun Frédéric

I really like the look and feel of the random number generation, the fighting sequence is really fast and cool and the overall feel of the Action Chart GUI just really fits with the world in my head!

I thought of this one day. But in fact, I'm not sure it's really suitable. First because you'd have to hold both the DS and the book, or switch between both, which may not be very handy. But moreover, you'd have to write the items into the DS action charts, either with an on-screen keyboard, or with some kind of writing recognition... Right now the action chart works fine because the game knows what are the available items. But without this, it would require much more efforts from the user to fill it correctly. I suppose a fight simulator might be finally more interesting, since you would just have to enter your Endu + CS once, then the ones for your enemy, and start the fight. Then the tedious computations would be handled automatically. Not exactly on my top priorities list though, to be honest

Yeah, you're probably right. I might have got carried away with myself there! Although the fight sim idea could be cool (maybe as an unlockable in Lone Wolf DS?). Thanks for responding anyway, it's appreciated

Absolutely, utterly awesome. Highly professional standard of quality, interface and gameplay... seriously, this SHOULD be commercial far more than any other LW computer game or RPG attempt (in fact, dare I say, I think this would be a bigger success than re-releasing the actual physical books these days! ) I agree with a previous poster that this THE best thing to happen to LW (or indeed the gamebook genre, imagine how they could resell other old series like FF and the like in this form) since Project Aon. I ADORE the work PA has done, and there is simply no way I'd be able to play all the LW books without them, but it is still not quite the same sitting at a PC. The DS combines the technical abilities and ease of automation and a sense of "AI" with portability and fun. This makes me actively want to play through the books again and again, since it is so fast and easy to run, save, interact, etc. with the touchscreen-based NDS. This is a dream come true, and dare I say up with ScummVM DS as the VERY best DS "homebrew" (again, this is really commercial quality IMO) ever made. Many, many thanks and look forward to the next book! PS Any chance we might see Freeeway Warrior DS one day too?

Hi, this is my first post here. I just want to thank fredc for all this work, it's really awesome ! I just (re)played the first book and start the 2nd, and I'm waiting for the next books (and Grey Star/Astre d'Or too). Maybe a French version could be made, but I think it should come from Project Aon first. I'll check the forum, this must have been certainly discuss before. Thank You again, and good luck !
Ghuntar.

Yes, this has been discussed already, but to avoid you searching, I'll explain it to you here. Project Aon (or anybody else in fact) can't publish the LW books in French because Gallimard still holds the rights for the series. The books are still in print in French. So unless the rights revert back to Joe, we won't see the French version of the LW series on the web (in a legal way) anytime soon. However, I'm wondering if a French version of the Freeway Warrior series could be made with the benediction of Joe. After all, this series was never published in French from what I know.

Thank You for the answer , even if I had already found it on the forum) and even it's a bad new T-T. Ghuntar.

I mentioned this a few days ago, but it may have been overlooked. I can't download LWDS as there is nothing but text on the homepage.
In the meantime, if anyone's willing to email me the files please send me a PM.
