Shom'zaa looks a lot like an Alien (i.e. Sigourney Weaver movies) with a head shaped like a triceratops and antennae coming out from where the horns would be, but with a typical upside-down "V" monster's mouth, and a proboscis used to spew acid below. No wonder Agarash hid him under a big mountain ... Maybe I just have problems imagining that, but does that picture look good in any way? Everything I puzzle together here looks a bit ... cheesy? Please tell me it isn't ... Ixy sounds nice, though. After recent experiences with The Darke Crusade, I'll make d[amn] certain not to play "his" book as a stand-alone ... The Wytch-King

No wonder Agarash hid him under a big mountain ... Maybe I just have problems imagining that, but does that picture look good in any way? Everything I puzzle together here looks a bit ... cheesy? Please tell me it isn't ... Ixy sounds nice, though. After recent experiences with The Darke Crusade, I'll make d[amn] certain not to play "his" book as a stand-alone! The Wytch-King Shom'zaa was imprisoned by. . . you guessed it, the Elder Magi! Those meddling kids. . . He was sealed in a "cocoon" of sorts made of pure korlinium, and was released when the dwarves "delved too deep". Sound familiar? The picture isn't too bad, but I pictured him as a sinewy, shadowy, comet-shaped thing with nasty sharp claws and springy rear legs. Just my imagination at work, which is always subject to change. I do have to say I was a bit disappointed with the pic myself. As you said, the Deathlord is impressive. I would go as far as to say he's horrifying, and hope that doesn't hurt his feelings if he joins the forum! Very well drawn and scary-looking. Actually, if you play it as a stand alone, you may do better than with the Sommerswerd, because as you know he is one of the toughest opponents in the gamebooks. Have fought him 10 times in a row without defeating him before, and it doesn't help that Joe gets you softened up pretty good before the fight *SPOILER* when you fight good old Demonlord Tagazin yet again. P.S. I figured out how to cite who I quoted! Thanks for the help, you know who you are!
