Errr I don't know, the first one is really quite hard. How about:
Lone Wolf, you have fallen...
The restless souls of the slaughered Kai shall never find peace; and their voices will be as whispers in the wind; the deads mournful requim shall echo until the sun is extinguished and darkness swallows the lands.
I don't know, nothing really encapsulated the enormity of a failure right at the beginning, all the future deeds that will go undone, the heroism that will never be.

Well, maybe we should just leave it at the "unavenged" part...
That or "Lone Wolf, you have fallen... and you can't get up!"

Trend setters are indeed super cool - just ask that dude who first started wearing trousers.

Okay, the custom death messages are now all incorporated into the game. Very nice touch! (Still need one for book 20, though...)
We'll see what kind of damage I can do on Book 4 this weekend - I do have rehearsal most of today though, for our upcoming opera scenes program.

20 was done a page back. Tut, tut...seems omniscient Dave should no longer receive burnt offerings in good conscience.

"Sorry Dave... You've become obsolete... I can no longer allow you to control this forum..." Creepy HAL voice.

I used to work with a guy who named the company catalog computer HAL... He would make those jokes all the time. Classic movie - slow as tar, but definitely interesting. Actually I watched it on DVD at 1.5x speed, and it was still slow!

1.5x? I'm sure you had fun with the chipmunk voices then.

Only 1.5? I found x2 to be just about all I could manage without falling into a treacle-paced-plot induced coma.

"Yeah... I can understand the feeling. I have just had it on my mind since beating Portal and someone mentioned GLaDOS and HAL getting together. Sorry, that was far off the beaten path."

1.5x? I'm sure you had fun with the chipmunk voices then. If I watched VHS at 1.5x then I'd have to put up with chipmunk voices, but with great digital technology available, one can actually watch a DVD at 1.5x without modification of sounding pitch. (some real-time resampling algorithm or something...) Yes, we've gotten a bit off-topic - let's pull it back around, folks. I've done up to section 80 in book 4. Does anyone know offhand if you ever need a "Fish Amulet", like the ones you find on the dead priests (if you kill them at the beginning of the book)? They weren't capitalized, but the section text made it sound like you could take one if you wanted to... I suppose it could just be one of those Red Herring things, after all, it *is* a fish... I wasn't able to get very much time to work on book 4 this weekend, alas.

"So, have you decided to release once Book 4 is done, it seems like that won't be far off at the rate you're going. I am quite excited to get back into Lone Wolf."

I did a quick word-search through the text and it doesn't look like the amulets are ever mentioned again. I think they're only there to make you feel guilty if you recognize their meaning and it doesn't look like the book checks if you took them or not. Probably a hook Dever meant to use again at some point but just never got around to.
