Hi guys, I know there is much anticipation out there for the next version (and I am at least as anxious to get it out there!) However, I just received word concerning the faculty search that will determine whether I am employed next year or not... It will be a crazy 2 or 3 weeks in the immediate future - so I will likely not be able to resume work on Seventh Sense until that is over with. So, do not expect a release until at least a month or so from now.
Sorry for the delay, but first things first!

So who exactly am I going to have to sleep with to get you which job exactly so I can wile away a few hours killing evil-doers?

Well... I was thinking of running a private beta of sorts, for people to test the program out on various machines. Perhaps I should simply package up the program with books 1-3, and have a few folks test it out during this dry spell. Anyone interested?

Sure, although that whole sleeping with people thing is still on the table.

Oh well, that gives me more time for my feeble attempts at learning how to make websites.

I have waited many years for this type of program. A mere few months is nothing. You should focus on yourself first and then come back to it when you are ready. That way we can all ennjoy it in is full and completed glory.

I know everyone is anxious to get the new version, but I don't think anyone can complain about having to wait a month (or however long) for you to release your free work.
I used to work for a local school district myself in their ramshackle ghetto IT dept. I do not miss that environment and the ridiculous politics that surrounded it. I hope that you survive the shakedown and emerge employed.
If you would like testers to try a beta on some different hardware setups, I'm game. I have participated in other beta tests and would be willing to post back results.
In any case, take care and don't rush yourself. We can wait.

Dave, dude, focus on the important things first. Thanks for thinking about us, but please don't feel as if you owe us anything.
As for beta testing, I'd be glad to help. Fact is I'd enjoy it!
Good luck with the faculty search!

"That sucks, I hope things work out for you. I'd definitely pitch in, in any small way I can, though this is not quite my forte."

I'd be happy with a beta test too.

Okay, those few who have expressed interest here have been sent a PM with a download link to the current version, along with some instructions to follow to make it a worthwhile test.
I am also creating another thread to contain their responses/feedback and to post some screenshots - so please use the appropriate thread for that, dear beta-testers!
