This is pretty much the same as the poll about the Magnakai villains. I'm voting Maouk on this one -- he's like the forgotten named villain of the LW series.
Some of my other choices might not seem obvious: Zombie Kelman: the picture's just cool. The Elix: you get a bonus in LW5 if you've ever fought one before, so it must have been a memorable fight. Vordaks: Leaving useless gems everywhere like they own the place.
Anyway, if you're not tired of these by now, go ahead and respond.

I liked the Vassagonian Captain you get to fight at the top of the observation tower in Book 4. The image of two warriors fighting on the top of a tower in the shadow of a gigantic bird of prey is pretty appealing.

I always thought that this was a definate high point of The Chasm of Doom. Either him or the Hammerfist dude from Shadow on the Sands. Does anybody remember him?

That's not easy to answer ... Barraka, of course, has a lot of "nostalgic value", as he was the first Lone Wolf villain I ever fought. But he would rather be counted a main villain, wouldn't he? (Somewhat like Vonotar ...) The Vassagonian Captain on that tower was great; he and that Onyx Medaillon are what always draws me up to the tower roof whenever I play the book ... The Elix fascinates me enough that I even *grumbling!* took a route I didn't want to take when I played the book the last time just to meet it! (Normally, I'd prefer to go east, to Eshnar ... Darn shame that those two scenes are not compatible! ) Then there's also that Vordak you meet in paragraph 121 of Flight from the Dark - the one with the raven ... A cool scene. And, of course, there's the Gourgaz who wants to slay Prince Pelathar at the Battle of Alema Bridge! A memorable battle, wasn't it? But for whom shall I vote now? ... *scratches head* ... Oh, well, I'll choose the Gourgaz (poor, forgotten beastie!) and appoint Barraka a main villain. ;D [...] the Hammerfist dude from Shadow on the Sands. Does anybody remember him? Oh yes, I do ... Even if I usually take the other route ... [...] the drakkar in i think book 10, the one who was more muscles than arnie. Erm, that would be a villain from the Magnakai series ... But true enough, that one was a creep! The Wytch-King

The Wytch-King I have to agree with WK here regarding Barraka "Doomslayer", as he WAS the final villain in the book. I was thinking that when I first opened the thread, and am glad somebody else agrees. The captain I usually don't meet up with, although I do remember getting the onyx medallion in that book before. The raven-toting Vordak was definitely a cool one, and so was the Gourgaz. I didn't think I'd survive either one of those combats at first, and still sometimes die against the Gourgaz. jimy obviously made the same blunder that I did in reading the Magnakai version of this thread by voting for the guy in book 10. I've never come across that guy Ronan mentioned, but from what I've heard on this forum, I probably don't want to. So, who does that mean I'm voting for? None of the above! I loved the subterfuge of the Helghast in book 3 locked up in Ikaya. That was such an out of place and unexpected encounter that I have never made the mistake of fighting him again, but I should have been able to tell it was a bad idea to let him out. And, who's Maouk? I can't remember but am beginning to think he's the guy at the beginning of book 5 who works for Kimah. I'll have to check. . . ~Relenoir, who feels obligated to respond to everything! P.S. Cadak, I love the polls, and will always be happy to respond (albeit sometimes incorrectly ) to them, although often not in a timely manner!

Yeah, Maouk's the guy who follows you through the Baga-darooz. That was just such a cool scene in the book, LW trying to escape his captors in a foreign city and hiding in the sewers . . .

I've never come across that guy Ronan mentioned, but from what I've heard on this forum, I probably don't want to. Too late, he's already here! ;D Hey, right! That was a cool encounter! Err ... you know what I mean. I'm tempted every time to release him again just to have that scene again ... Who needs Endurance points anyway? That's because you are ... Same for me, Mr. Arch-Druid. (And don't you forget Cordask as a choice when you create that Grand Master Secondary Villain poll! ) The Wytch-King

On a side note, does anybody else think that by naming your child Hammerfist, you pretty much doom him to become an armorer?

Oh well, I have to say that the Gourgaz that you fight to defend the Prince in book 1 is my favorite because it was the first ennemy that I fought in that book when I read it for the first time, so it was also the first ennemy in Lone Wolf's life. And what a fight it was! It doesn't look like it, but it is a powerful ennemy when you don't have experience in fighting.

Or become a judge ... The Wytch-King Ack! Now why didn't I think of that? Nice one! Big time! The Gourgaz at Alema Bridge has frustrated more would-be Lone Wolf fans that I've lent Flight from the Dark to! They give me the book back, saying, "I kept getting killed by the big lizard-thing." 20 CS is a lot when you first start out!
