As I need to, I'll raise questions here about book 5.
The first one is : in section 40, it says that you lose "your pouch of Gold Crowns". Does this really mean you lose your actual Belt Pouch, or just the crowns in it? Only one other time has JD said that LW loses his pouch ("soldiers" in Book 1).
Is there any time later when LW can get another pouch before the end of the book? (Not that that really matters) Are there things coming up later in the book that *require* LW to be able to have some crowns(like the essential 20 gold in Book 2 to buy a ticket)?

Second question: When you get blood poisoning in section 63, does Healing still give you +1 EP per section - thereby reducing the effective penalty from -2EP to -1Ep per section (until you swallow a potion of Laumspur)?
I think I'm in favor of Healing skill helping to prolong your life in this case - it makes a lot of sense. You'll still die if you don't get some Laumspur, but it won't be as quick.

Also, in which section(s) of Book 4 do you fight an Elix?
Thanks for your help, everyone - it really does make things easier and faster for me!

Book 5 sect 40: IMHO LW's money pouch just unties as he climbs over the Kwaraz, and the crowns pour out into the murky waters of Baga-Darooz.
But even if LW really lose the pouch itself, it may safely be assumed, that whenever Lone Wolf finds some money (from dead enemies etc.), they are usually kept in pouch (unless the book states otherwise), so he could take the money and the pouch.
Poisoning in section 63: If Lone Wolf possess discipline of Healing, he isn't able to turn to this section (section 22).
Elix fight: Book 4 section 308.

Chiming in to agree with Honza's interpretation of the money pouch issue.
(Of course, in real life, if my pouch had space for only 50 crowns and I found 51, you can be sure I'd stick the 51st into my backpack rather than just leave it on the corpse I'm looting.)

Now, here's a fine one: looting corpses in real life! Aha.. (I bet you'd just put it in your pocket *if* you'd looting corpses)

Well, if my pouch would only have space for 50 gold, I'd just tie another next to the first one for the second 50. This gives me an idea for a possible optional rule (no idea how useful it would actually be) to allow the player to take another 50 crowns into one of the eight backpack slots. A second thought: is there any way to kill the aon licence once and for all after we clicked on accept? What I mean is if I accepted it once, I'll probably accept the second, third and umpteenth time I start the program and I find myself being madder and madder with it, especially because the accept button is at the very bottom of it Otherwise, it's a nice program. Keep up the good work.

heisenberg, you can use the scroll bar to just pop right to the bottom of the page, and click accept. Right now, it's campaign-based, so if you restart the campaign, you have to accept again. I'll probably be changing this to a profile-based variable, so that if you accept it once, you won't have to do it again. I agree - it's a little annoying, but better safe than sorry!

Interesting observation... Perhaps I need to implement a new default behaviour when picking up money... Okay, thanks for that. Is that really the *only* time he fights an Elix? I thought it would be more than 1 section.

Aye, I'm fairly sure that single instance in p 308 is the only time you fight Elix(ses) prior to Book 5. Always struck me as odd, especially as my original book cover (Beaver Books) was of an Elix in an outdoors setting. First, It was multiple playthroughs before I even encountered the Elix, so didn't know what creature was on the cover, and secondly, the Elix you encounter are trapped in a room in a mine, not outdoors.

Section 127 - You are barging down a door - it has you pick a random number and add 10, then compare that to your combat skill to see if you succesfully knock the door down.
So, question is - Do you compare that number with your base combat skill, or with all of the various weapon/item/skills bonuses applied? Makes no sense to apply Mindblast or Sommerswerd... It is possible to apply logical bonuses, if any actually exist - so do any?
What's the common feeling about this one?

Okay, consulting my copy of the book and reading the passage...
The Shield would definitely apply; barging through a door, it would essentially be the weapon. The Silver Helmet probably should apply as well.
Actually, it seems a lot like the archery tournament finals against Altan in book 6 (which you'll also have to deal with and decide on what counts eventually) except that in this case, the shield would help and mindblast would not.

For that one Alether Potions should have an effect as it increases LW's strength and maybe the Silver Helm because no one knows how that effects you but any other bonuses shouldn't be applied.
edit: i agree you could apply the shield as a weapon in this case, from its picture on the equipment page it looks big enough, also a mace or a warhammer might be usable in this place maybe even an axe or a broadsword
