Hey, Dave, do you think we could have a hall of fame for getting all the awards in a series? That would add incentive to get those awards (as if we needed any!) Right now, the awards are still pretty much in development- not to mention there's a ton more coming out for 1-7 once the next release is out. Once things get closer to being fairly set, I wouldn't mind if Dave did something like that. As for now, I'd like to work on them so the awards get closer to a "final release," before people get put on the boards for them.

I agree with kamikaze (and pi4t, incidentally!)
Love the idea of an "Awards" Hall of Fame for those who complete all of the awards in a given series. But, I will probably wait until the release of book 12 or even into the GM series before that goes up. Gotta give it time to finalize... And I gotta tell ya, we've got some fun things cooking up!

Website has been updated with several recent entries, including a couple of difficult lowered stat runs (7/16 and 5/15!)
Congrats to all!
(Also edited the first post to include instructions about not restarting a campaign before submitting the resumeX file, in case that wasn't clear.)

Quick question- if I were to copy my saves to another computer, then start a new campaign from scratch (Book 1) and completed a HoF run afterwards, would that throw the anti-cheating switch to invalidate it or does that only count during a campaign?

It will reset when you start a new campaign. So, you are good to go ahead and copy your profiles & savegames info to another computer, so as to keep working on earning medals, etc. You just need to "start a new campaign" if you want to earn a spot on the Hall of Fame.
When it comes to earning the medals for BTB or HC, it doesn't matter whether the flag is tripped (I think... at any rate, it shouldn't). You can still earn the medal for it, you just won't be validated for the Hall of Fame (no public recognition!)
And it is important to note - the earned awards for your profile are kept in the profiles.dat file, and NOT the resumeX.dat or campaignX.dat files.

Just another update to the Hall of Fame. However, of special note is the addition of another "mythical" run, a 5/15 Hardcore, no-death run by "II". Man, some people are just gluttons for punishment! I find 17/23 Hardcore to still be quite a challenge!

I forgot to add an entry from August 30 - another "mythical" entry. (Sorry, Kniffhanger!) 10/20 Hardcore, no deaths, with no combat boosters or healing. Man, I don't know how you guys do it!
Lastly, it's funny to note that all seven of the mythical entries are from August and September (2010 & 2011). So, if anyone else wants to be "mythical", you'll probably need to wait until the end of next summer to try for it!

So there will be new hall of fame for 6-12 hardcore and by the books runs I see from this updated thread
My question is will there be no death/ restart category? If you die, would you have to start over at Book 1 or just Book 6?

Actually, the non-mythical Halls of Fame were originally constructed to hold the records of any Kai, Magnakai, and Grandmaster runs. E.g. if a person completes: 1) books 1-5, they get a "Kai(1-5)" by their name. (hitherto, this has been the only option!) 2) books 6-12, they get a "Magnakai (6-12)" by their name 3) books 1-12, they get a "Kai + Magnakai (1-12)" by their name 4) if they already have a 1-5 entry, and do a separate 6-12, it'll read "Kai (1-5), Magnakai (6-12)". It would be "upgraded" to the combined entry, of course, if they opt to do a straight thru 1-12 run.
So, yes the death/no-death category still applies. And you would only "have to" start over at book 1, if you wished to have the ultimate honor of "Kai + Magnakai (1-12)" in the no-death hall of fame (BTB or HC). You could still get on the no-death hall of fame with 6-12 run, it would just say Magnakai(6-12) by your name.
I hope that makes sense. I really don't want to add more individual Halls of Fame just to accomodate the Magnakai series. The only one I'd like to add (eventually) is one that gives Bronze/Silver/Gold status for Medal/Award completion. That's still a ways in the future, however.
