Hello I apologize if my question is but an initiate's, Grandmaster Dave, but it tortures my mind day and night, and I have to find its answer! I am trying to launch the game under Ubuntu, using wine. The game installs, launches and plays perfectly until comes the time to validate the Licence. The left pages read ok, however the Licence text itself, on the right side, reads something like ÿüïÿÿ[][][]ÿ, for about a line, the scroll button is absent, indicating there are no more lines, and the accept button is absent. Could you please tell me if the fonts are handled differently. In particular if a specific Windows font is needed to display the Licence text, or your application's custom buttons? In the meantime, I shall install Virtual Box to play, for the Darklord menace must be stopped, once and for all! Best regards, and many cheers, I haven't had that much fun in years, even though I didn't even start to play yet. Sébastien

Sebastien, It's actually because I need to make sure that the program executable can be called from any location. It's currently expecting to have the "start in" folder be set to the folder with the executable. But a shortcut might not be setting this info correctly, and I need to make sure that my program adapts to this...
There are no windows specific fonts or anything like that - just lazy programming! I'll try to fix this for the next bugfix release (coming soon!)

Incredible! That's first class service! And it works right away. So I'll give a little bug report in exchange (I believe):
I chose a path that led me to 28/42 without fighting - I had to eat at some point, and chose not to, having the healing skill. My health didn't go back up, I believe only fights trigger this skill, and failing to eat doesn't. If that makes sense, but it is late.
Good night and thanks again.

Sebastien, Thanks to your post, I was motivated to fix the bug in my program which caused it not to work for you. So, now people won't have to worry about setting the working directory for the shortcuts, etc. Thanks!
Also, you should know that if you have chosen "By the book" rules, the only damage that will be healed by the Healing skill is combat damage (as per the strict wording of the book). However, you can choose in the Gameplay Rules (when you start a new campaign) whether the Healing skill will heal only combat damage, combat + other, or all sorts of damage (including starvation from not eating a meal.)
When you think about it - it makes sense for him not to heal damage from starvation. If he really just never ate, he'd waste away and die. Healing is not a replacement for Hunting...

Yes, I thought of that after I said it - but a true Kai doe not try to hide one's errors. A very beautiful piece of software indeed, thanks again
