Hey guys,
I was just looking through book 21 and I noticed that on the copyright page, it states that Trevor Newton did the illustrations but on the previous page, Brian Williams is credited.
I've taken a look at the drawings and they don't look like Brian Williams' style.
Who's Trevor Newton? Or was that a mis-print?

IIRC Joe states in a Lone Wolf Club Newsletter that Brian Williams didn't illustrate VotM because he was working on The Skull of Agarash instead. However, I'm fairly sure that he did illustrate a few aspects of VotM, such as the scroll on the card page after the map, and the Action Chart. VotM also marks the last appearance of Peter Andrew Jones as cover illustrator--Books 22 onwards have cover art by Brian Williams, I think. I'd actually forgotten about this. We should probably add Trevor Newton to the list of artists we're supposed to get in touch with, just in case Joe ever grants us the right to publish the New Order series. Better to be prepared than not, after all!  |
