I know you guys aren't that far into publishing Freeway Warrior yet, but I'm doing a playthrough and had some questions. Maybe someone knows the answers. How does moving from one book to the next work for FW? Do I go back up to full health? Do I keep all my old equipment or pick new equipment or both? And most importantly, Medipacks... Do I get another RND+2 at the start of each book, or are the ones I rolled in Book 1 supposed to last me the whole series? There's no rules in there explaining either way; they just say if I've completed a book I get 4 more skill points. I barely made it through book 1. I'm at 2 Endurance, 2 Medipacks and no ammunition (FW is HARD). I could certainly use a re-equip at the start of book 2.

Well, the LW books allow you to re-equip - i.e. add the new equipment from Book 2 to your existing selection from Book 1 - so I guess you could follow that same rule for FW.

well, I'd assume at the very least that your Endurance is restored and your Canteen is refilled. The version you can view in the Editor's Companion doesn't say anything specific about it, though.
edit: I'm pretty sure you get to keep your Backpack equipment, too, since there are items that are useless in Book 1 that can be used in later books.

...like which? I've only ever played 1 (PA) and 3 (book), have never gotten a chance at the others.

Presumably, since each adventure starts at a "safe" base, you can restore/replenish Medikits, Water Canteen, ENDURANCE points, and even pick/swap new equipment/missile weapons and gain a replacement Hunting Knife if you lost it in the previous adventure. I have escalated the issue against the Rules section of Slaughter Mountain Run for further discussion, but I'm sure it will be a footnoted formality that will merely reiterate what I've written here. .

Took them both, but never got a chance to use them. The Flexible Saw can be used to escape after capture in Albany and Cross Plains in Book 1, the Signal Flare does the same, but in Cross Plains only. In Book 3 you can use the Solar Regulator that you can find in the bus at Lakeside Village in Book 1 and in at least one place in Book 2, but you can't find it anywhere in Book 3 or use it in either of the previous two books. Some other items you can use in Book 3 that I'm pretty sure you can't find there: Tennon Saw, Engine Oil
