For those more advanced Windows users who are interested:
Guide coming soon on how to convert your regular installation to a stand-alone installation. (so you don't lose your profiles, save games, etc.)...
You can convert your "regular" installation (which uses the User/Documents folder to store downloaded pics & zip, as well as the save games and profile info) into a self-contained "Stand-alone" version.
Step 1) download the "stand-alone" version of the game from the website, and unzip the .zip file into whatever folder you'd like to have game installed in. (I like "C:\Games\Seventh Sense", but you can choose ANY location, such as a USB thumb drive or external Hard drive.) The only location(s) to AVOID are protected ones like "System" or "Program Files". If you run the program from these locations, the game won't be able to establish writing privileges and will default back to the User/Documents folder, and then you'll be back to square 1!
Step 2) Find the User/Documents folder, and the Seventh Sense folder in particular. You should see a folder named "data" and a file called "settings.txt". COPY both the folder and the file to the folder you just unzipped your standalone version in. (This operation should result in the settings.txt file existing alongside the Lone Wolf.exe, and the "data" folder being merged with the current data folder. You will likely get some file copy warning - It's okay - nothing will be overwritten or lost.) You should double-check that you placed it correctly, by looking inside the data folder (after copying) - if you see another folder inside called "data" then you did it wrong.
Step 3) (optional) if you want to update your shortcuts either on the desktop or in the start menu, point them to the new location for "Lone Wolf.exe".
Upon starting the new executable, you should have all your old profiles and savegames, settings, and downloaded book zips and covers. And now it will be completely self-contained.
WARNING: If you are attempting a By-the-book or Hardcore hall of fame run, this procedure will invalidate your replays. (They'll still load, but will no longer be valid for acceptance into an HOF).
So, only do this if you are NOT trying for a By-the-book or Hardcore Hall of Fame run.
If you have any questions or problems, let me know!
