I understand everyone has a system for dual weapons, but I don't actually see where Joe ever refers to the ability to dual weapon in his books. Anyone want to enlighten me?

No, he doesn't. As the text is written, it seems clear that you only use one weapon at a time. Some examples...
Therefore, I certainly don't use any dual weapon rules. ;D

Why stop at 2? With Grand Nexus, I can levitate ten other weapons while holding two in each hand. I declare that the enemy cannot simultaneously parry attacks from the Sommerswerd, Dagger of Vashna, Helshezag, and that [darn] Silver Box flying at his head, so he is automatically killed.
This is just ridiculous.

That way I'd get triple the weaponmastery bonuses, one for each weapon, for a total of +9. AND I'll have a shield duck-taped on both arms for a total of +4. Woohoo!

Seriously, I never played with the dual weapon system and I always considered the weapon-like Special Items as regular weapons at the same time. I can't imagine LW in book 12 carrying the Dagger of Vashna, Heshezag, the Sommerswerd, the Magic Spear, the Silver Bow, a Jewelled Mace and the Bronin Warhammer with his cheap axe that he had in book 1 and a regular sword that he bought in Ragadorn. This guy has more weapons than Charlton Heston, the president of the NRA! ;D

Technically he could carry them all... but you should be allowed to only play one numbered section a day... to simulate the weight of fifty weapons... plus those five chainmails you just had to have... and your silver helmet... and the vordak gem
honestly, though, we have to assume he can carry a bigillion weapons plus armor. Especially if we look at FF games, and nearly any other RPG system (besides pen and paper, and even these are iffy on the subject) you essentially have an invisible caravan trailing you, carrying every interesting rock you decide to pick up on your adventure. And since there is the limit of twelve special items... I mean, Lone Wolf is fighting the forces of torturous darkness here, give him some leeway... and if you can't, just assume that Ishir has.
ISHIR: here LW, have an armor of carrying +200 LW: oh, thanks, now I can just carry the Kai Monastery into combat

Wow, does anyone actually wear 2 Chainmail Waistcoats at the same time?
Anyone want to post a serious rule suggestion for using 2 weapons at the same time?
Anyone want to (un)seriously post rules for using Nexus to wield even more weapons?
Better yet, use Nexus to fight (use Sommerswerd) while you are safe and sound 20 feet away!

Therefore, I certainly don't use any dual weapon rules. ;D Well, maybe Joe didn't apply the (s) thingy. For example, in the exam questions: -State the benefit(s) of saving your money. -How many kilogram(s) in 1000 grams?Joe might intentionally drop the (s) thingy for the sake of simplicity. The sentences might mean: With a cry of frustration, you discard your bow and unsheathe hand weapon(s) as the snake draws itself back in preparation to strike.
Hope that gave you and idea......
