This is the official thread for bug reports for 1.7.0 and up.
Please include as much information about what lead up to the bug as possible, and how to reproduce it (if possible). The more details you provide, the easier it is to fix the problem!
We ought to see quite a lot less bugs than the 1.6 release, since that was such a major milestone, and the next several books (including this one) are relatively minor. Nonetheless, if you see any, let me know about it!
Thanks!

One came in already regarding getting stuck on the Sommerswerd section. I've already got a fix coded in, but thought I'd wait a day or so to see if I need to fix any other pressing bugs.
(If you *do* get stuck, like not able to click a button, once you install the bug-fix version, you'll be able to move on. So, if you're patient, you will be able to resume from where you were stuck.)

I'm also having the same issue when I try to pick up the Magic Spear in Section 106. Looks like the bug might be occurring with weapon-like Special Items?

I has more to do with a certain type of inventory check which changed with the 1.7 code, because of needing to check for having absolutely no inventory for some books (awards).
It is fixed for the next release. (1.7.1) Since it's obviously occurring in more than 1 spot, I'll go ahead and post the fix tonight.

Okay, the 1.7.1 bugfix release is out. Shouldn't get stuck when required to pick up an item now (like SS or Magic Spear, or others, like Dagger of Vashna, which was probably also affected...)
So, please make sure you are running the 1.7.1 version before reporting a bug - Thanks!

I don't know what happened but my random number table look like this: 1 1 1 1 1 1 .... 2 2 2 2 2 2 ... 3 3 3 3 3 3... etc.. I used Seventh Sense 1.7.1 Update not the full install,on my 1.6.x version.

Ah... I forgot to include book 7's real RNT. (Fixed for next release). Thanks, zarkon! BTW, only book 7 would be affected, not books 1-6.

Okay v1.7.2 is released, so the above is fixed, as well as the Book 1 Epic Failure Award. A couple of enhancements included as well (read about them in the Changelog thread)

Book 5- Section 14: I can reclaim my lost items just fine, but for some reason can't reclaim any of my Gold Crowns. I currently have 10 in my pouch and 39 stuck under lost items. Also I can only use potions (Laumspur) and eat meals (rations or other) half the time. Sometimes the option is grayed out for no reason. I can eat meals when the book says I must eat, but as for other times (such as to heal starvation) it's pot lock whether I can or not. Also tried using Alether before a combat and the option was grayed out as well. BTW- love the new posters

For the Lost Crowns issue: Do you see a button to reclaim them, and clicking it does nothing? Or do you see no button at all? Or is there a button, but it's unclickable somehow (either grayed out, or disappears before you can click it?)
As to Backpack items... I'll look into this - it may be that a variable isn't being reset somewhere. The only time those should be grayed out is when LW loses his backpack on that section of text. Perhaps it's being falsely initialized somewhere. Whatever the cause, I'll track it down. In the meantime, if you still have your save file where it's been happening, if you'd send it to me via email, that might be helpful (maybe not, but on the chance that it might, it doesn't hurt to have it!)
I'm glad you like the posters. They were fun to make.

For the crowns- the button is shiny red, clickable, but nothing happens.
For the backpack items- it seemed to happen when there were buttons to select stuff and before combat. I was able to use a laumspur and had the option to use an alether after a combat when I had no option to before. Also on a page where I had options to pick up a potion and meals, I couldn't use any until I left the passage. I'll see if I can recreate the conditions after work and ship you the save.
Also PMing you a hint fix for one of the awards after work as well.

Good bug report, kamikaze! You caught a couple of uglies that got introduced in 1.7 - all of the Kai books were affected with the "random" inability to use backpack items (actually was the side result of an autoprocess function to convert punctuation to be outside of buttons.) It's all fixed now.
And the code for reclaiming lost gold crowns got shifted into the code for gaining Fireseeds. Ooops! This is also fixed.
Sending your replay file really helped me track it all down rapidly - thanks for sending that.
Lastly, the award you PMed me about is fixed, too.
Bugfix release coming shortly.

Bugfix release coming shortly. Like, how about now? The 1.7.3 release is officially out. So, please before you post bug reports, make sure you are running the latest version. If it still shows up in the latest version, then let me know about it here! Thanks everyone!

So I'm doing a run-through of 1-5 to get the "bosskill" achievement, and I figured I'd try for an additional achievement per book. Book 2 I chose to kill all 5 helghasts. Which I did, but I didn't get the award. Does the "wounded" helghast on the death-hulk not count? What about running away after the Tarnalin encounter?
- Spear Helghast - Camp Helghast - Tarnalin Helghast (not a fight, but I did kill it - sec 338. afterwards I left the spear and booked it) - Death-hulk Helghast 1 (wounded) - Death-hulk Helghast 2
Edit1: I fought 8 combats in book 3, no achiev. Edit2: I managed to get the Suicide Mission Survivor achiev in book 4 and I have no idea how... I only did one of the events in the hints.

*Spoiler* The text suggests that running away from the Tarnalin Helghast only wounds it (as was the case for the Spear Helghast- run through but still alive). You have to kill the Tarnalin one 100% dead for it to count.
The Suicide Mission survivor is queued up a little differently than many of the other death-defiance feats, due to so few being unique. So one or two actually does it, depending on which path you take
The high-combat one sounds like a bit of a problem though
